Official Simfile Error Thread

The simfile using the oog audio file is indeed offsync. Using ogg files to use 0.000 offset doesn't always work out.
I copy+pasted the mp3's offset of -2.522 to the ogg's sm file and tweaked it to -0.202

Using an offset of -0.202 on the ogg file should fix the sync.

Next issue: Still in My Heart (Momo mix) from Ultramix 4 has a slowdown that isn't placed properly. I think it's around two measures early? The steps seem to be correct otherwise, it's just the BPM change that doesn't come when it's supposed to.

Not sure if it's best to post this here or in the to-do list thread (or in it's own thread), but there are a couple of the Extreme2 videos that are not in their simfiles; these are songs that appear in other mixes, but their last appearance was Extreme2 and they gained a unique video in Extreme2 that is definitely worth using.

So I tried my hand at syncing them; this is my first time trying it and I'm using random YouTube videos to figure out how to sync it, but... I get the vague impression that either, the video is not quite running at the right pace because it doesn't end exactly where I think it should, or I might be starting it fractions of a beat too early because the video/game does not run at the same rate as StepMania and so I have to guess...

but that said, these are definitely better than nothing; but I encourage anyone else to try better or see if there is actually an issue with the videos (or StepMania's video processing?).

This is not all of them, just the ones I have done so far; I will probably try to do the rest at some point?

Speaking of videos, I noticed the videos for Safety Dance and Walk Like an Egyptian in Universe 2 seem to be late by a small amount. I suppose it's possible they're just like that in the game, but the lip-sync, etc., is clearly not in time with the music.

According to Ben Speirs, the doubles Challenge chart for Summer Fantasy (Darwin Remix) from DDR 2014 had all shock arrows as actual arrows. As in, there were no shock arrows, just regular arrows in their place.

I posted about this 4 months ago and it was fixed, maybe he didn't redownload for a longer time?

I've noticed the audio for Audiophilosophy seems late by a measure as the sudden drop with the left/right jump at measure 9 plays at measure 10 in the middle of that Freeze Arrow.

Horatio in DDR X has a large gap after the first jump, which sets the rest of the chart off from the music by about half a measure. I noted this in both the Expert and Challenge charts. There's no issue with the DDR X USA version.

DIGITALIZER DDP - freeze at b288 is one 16th too long.

Redownload the sm file since almost everything was ripped from AC data.

Just happened to notice that there's a random colon before the ending semicolon in the #BACKGROUND field for Taj He Spitz, from DanceDanceRevolution X (AC).

It's understandable how this has been unnoticed for over 5 ½ years. It's a really small error, and the background probably works even with the error (have not tested it in-game, though). Still, I thought it'd be best to mention it.

EDIT: I also noticed that Taj He Spitz (Tommie Sunshine's Brooklyn Fire Re-Touch) has the Jacket image under #BANNER.

Not sure whether it was to go in here or in the "To-do" thread but i've noticed the disney mix files are missing the recently discovered maniac steps still despite someone sharing them in the "To-do" thread.

Also just curious, who is in charge with updating the official files on here now, is it just al or are there other users who have access to updating files ?
