No that was an accidental leak a couple of days ago, this is the real thing.

VERY excited to see this!!

Hopefully, just like with IIDX and SDVX, the new hardware gives us some proper USA servers so we can access premium modes.

Huh, interesting. Has GITADORA ever gotten an "append" before?

The text just says "New cabinet GITADORA -ARENA MODEL- coming soon!", so I'm kinda hoping it won't be another KONMAI moment where the new version is only releasing on the new cabinet model.

While there have been append versions before this (only two though), the most recent of them was released in 2016. ninja'd
As for the cabinet thing, I could see them maybe rolling it out first on the new model by a few weeks, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I wonder if they changed the Arena cabs since the location test (maybe the refresh rate will be above 60 hz, I hope?).

Hopefully it'll be like the Lightning/Valkyrie models where they'll reach the US soon, and maybe the R1 locations that had their old Gitadora cabs removed (like mine...) will get these new ones.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping, that it'll be like the Lightning and Valkyrie models where we finally get full premium mode functionality. And don't have to deal with the maintenance being 3pm - 5pm local time.

EDIT: Round1 tech that I spoke to said that US Round1 locations should be getting the new cabs. Not exactly 100% confirmation yet; I'd wait to hear from other official sources first, but this at least gives me hope.

Rumor has it that the offline conversion kit for old cabinets (XG, SD, and white ones) are being offered.
So I expect these cabinets will be discontinued sooner or later and arcades have to either move them away or buy Arena Model cabinets.
