Delicious.
Finally, a good frickin' user interface.
Well, at least for song selection.

The song wheel is very reminiscent of DDR 5thMIX - X’s song wheel interface or IIDX’s.

some quick info from what I've seen from PlayX4 so far
- Supports Steam Deck and Controllers
- There's also a prototype hand-pump controller:

- for each mode and input, you can map each arrow to multiple (well, at least 2 different) keys or buttons
Settings menu overview video: https://x.com/best_sandex/status/1925382560777228757
- There's a "Note Assist" in the command window, which probably enables a hit sound.
- BGA can be set to 0 (completely off)
- There's a proper downscroll

Info from players' impessions:
- There's judgement on the head of long notes (AC PIU you could just hold them before they reach the receptors)
- The notes feel more like they are arranged to fit hand-play than the traditional pump layout.. Single (5 keys) seems to have been modified to suit PC play. In Half-double (6 keys), notes that would be on the outer 4 arrows on the existing double mode were cut off and put on the middle 6.
- Old BGAs have been completely remastered.
- There's some kind of key sound? or the song sounds muffed or muted when you miss? I've only seen one person saying this and I'm not fully sure if I understand it.
Keyboard gameplay video: https://x.com/best_sandex/status/1925366759298850831
There's also 2 new songs in this demo;
Fiverwater - Unfelicitas
WyvernP feat. Chobom1221 - Dizzy Dance, Street Light

Really nice this new hand pump prototype (the mini pump it up pad controller) and is really good to play double charts too.
I notice that chicken wing is in this demo too, but i still think that need a real pro pad for this game, Pump it Up for me is a good game to play with pad, this video playing in the botton left banner is a nice idea too, the interface is similar to dj max but i like it.

"my friends call me sod" |
I gotta say, my first impressions are really good—love the UI design and oh my god it has actual working downscroll. That prototype controller looks so cute too!
I do kinda hope that at least some of these improvements get backported to the arcade game, but... I know Andamiro, and I know that ain't very likely.

here you can kinda hear what happens when you miss: https://x.com/i/status/1925486569760465183
jarring and apparently there's no option to disable that on this version
timing window also seems to be stricter than normal arcade judgement according to the people that have tried it
