Eey Inorizushi's themes are just as good in my eyes, including this one. I'd actually be pissed if Jindev got the wheel working proper, but he hasn't, so we good.

Does anybody know how to enable both the screen filter and the white lines in this? Not sure what they’re called, but I’m referring to the white lines that appear on each main beat and are bolder for wash full measure. This SM5 theme seems to have them, and I’m even using this theme, but the lines still don’t appear even with screen filter enabled:
Also, side note, why does it seem like it’s taboo to talk about these updated A and A20 themes people sprinkle in posts here and there? Am I missing some other channel where it’s easier to get the most up to date and accurate themes?

I'm aware, but someone should step up and create an accurate ace theme and RELEASE it, instead of showing off.

For all two of you who probably care, I'm experimenting with getting the scrollbar working:
I need to find clean copy/rip of the scroll bar graphic(s) to fully complete it, so if anyone knows where I can get them, that'd be very helpful.

Hell yesssss! One step closer!
Seeing you start with the Extreme textures reminds me that I need to finish the Extreme version of the mockup I did in the Graphics Artwork Thread.

Further experimentation:
I tried recreating some placeholder DDR A style graphics for now, just to see if I could get the positioning right. My current concern is the ScrollBar TickThumb seems to get cut off on the right hand side.

Could you include as much space as you need as alpha on the body part?

More progress, sorry for posting so much:
Obviously not the most official looking graphics, and the ScrollBar TickThumb doesn't hit the bottom of the bar properly for some reason, but it's at least serviceable for now. I might share what I've currently got if people want it.

Has the"folder opening white effect" been implemented yet?
Post #592 · Posté à 2019-09-26 05:53:56am il y a 4.5 années
I think I'm the only one actively "developing" anything, and I don't know how to do that, sorry. Maybe if I keep going I'll get around to it at some point.
Here's the "alpha" version of the ScrollBar if anyone wants it. Can't promise it'll look the best, but as I said, it's serviceable for now:
DDR A 20181211 ScrollBar Mod 0.2
I've included instructions in the zip, hopefully they make sense.
Edit: Updated link to version 0.2. I noticed a few errors, and wanted to correct them.

Good job! I hope you keep updating this theme, in my case I'm "working" on the DDR A20 THEME, would you mind if I use this mod on it?

No, but the thing I want the most to be implemented, is the options/ lvl (difficulty) screen.

I mean, sure. It's literally just a metrics change that anyone could do and some thrown together graphics that someone with actual graphical talent could make better and faster than I could.
Biggest issue with A20 that I see is that the ScrollBar is shaded differently at different parts, so I'm not sure how to achieve that in Stepmania 5. I'm wondering if one single, long graphic for ScrollBar middle would work instead of a repeating graphic.

I'm good at photoshop, so I had just a graphic for scrool bar on screenselectmusicoverlay , but It looks weird, and blurred, so I've used this code on my theme mod, and looks better, but the difficult part is that grapics are very small, and I dont know how to make them big, because if I change the graphics size it looks smaller in game, so it has to be a code problem.
So, this is how it looks on my theme, not the same, but similar to the original.

Has there been any fix for the songs cropping or being cropped by the theme titles? Only folders with song totals that are a multiple of 3 don't have this issue.

These are the metrics codes I added/changed:
ScrollBarHeight=SCREEN_CENTER_Y+86
ScrollBarOnCommand=x,600;visible,true;rotationz,-15;
ScrollBarOnCommand=x,600;visible,true;rotationz,-15;
However I do not know if or how to change size. Maybe adding something like "ScrollBarSize=50" or something would work, but I don't know all of Stepmania's coding details or limitations.

This is on the list of things I'd like to do, however I'm unsure if I can. I think it's been hinted that a fix may involve coding a completely new wheel, which is likely beyond my current capabilities.

I don't know if this theme is by someone who doesn't want to share their code, and also this particular video doesn't actually show enough for me to be able to tell if they've fixed the wheel issue. A few things I've noticed:
1) The other wheel sections seem to disappear when they open one, so either they set it to make them vanish while another one is open, or all sections open when one is open.
2) The songs appear to be using some kind of custom sort because they aren't in alphanumeric order.
