It appears extra stage is now accessible to North American R1 machines. The games now run on the Asian servers which drop the PASELI requirement to reach extra stage. This is a win and a long time request.

Here's hoping Moreno Valley gets the Lightning Model; we really need a new machine, here. UPDATE: Just called the manager at R1 MVM, and he told me they're going to receive it within a couple weeks, but they want me to call back by then, to make sure. In other words, it sounds like all R1 locations will be recieving it!

All we need now, is for Sound Voltex to run off of Asian servers and get an English translation, and we're pretty much set for life at R1... at least, until we someday get a newer Pop'N or something. XD

So, I kinda have a few questions now:

1. Since we're now on Asian servers, do we need to go to a different website to customize judgment font/lane covers/etc? If so, what's the site?

And 2. Do we still need to be on the Premium Subscription for all the stuff mentioned above?

To be fair, Premium Free was never gonna happen anyway, not even Asian machines have that outside of Japan (though SDVX Asian regions got Premium Time).

I expect that we will still go to the same site to do customizations (nothing changed for DDR when it got its US release), and that the basic sub will still be required for everything apart from QPro stuff (Premium sub has only been needed for the score download and the platinum card).

PHM and LWM have machines being set up or already running, so if that is any indication, chances are high we'll have at least one Lightning Model cab in MVM within a week, and will be throughout the west coast by Valentine's Day.

This probably sounds redundant to mention, but these cabs aren't UNIANAs; they're all Japanese(?) ones. I bring it up because the later DDR white cabs were UNIANAs, right?

Did they get rid of any of the old machines when they set up the lightning cab?

That, I can't answer, because I only know what I've been seeing on Twitter, but according to BemaniWiki, the old cabs still run the Japanese version, so I would think either R1 is going to start getting rid of them, or try to replace the servers and HOPEFULLY restore them. Seriously, my MVM cabinet is still missing the Camera B attachment because someone ripped it off and stole it, and the card readers are in reverse positions.

UPDATE: Not anymore! Too bad the QR codes are probably expired, tho. At least the Lightning Model cab's cameras can't be stolen since they're inside the casings. XD

Btw, called the manager at MVM again, and now I'm hearing they'll receive at least (and most likely) one within the next month, but I'll be sure to call them back next week.

The unlock shop is up, but things like Six String Proof or Afterimage de automne are not availible (yet?).

You need a basic course subscription before you can do the unlocks, sadly. :/

Also, made a follow-up call to the manager regarding the MVM Lightning Model; router won't be in til next week. : (

The Cannon Ballers Floor Infection songs are missing as well.

It's possible the Bemani-wide event songs from last year might not show up until the next IIDX game, this happened with Surf on the Light.


Ouch, that's rough. I heard that SCM had the wrong router shipped to us, but it was rectified the following day (today), and everything is up and running.

With the ARENA MODE songs on legacy cabs may be able to play LIGHTNING CAB songs if a person on the new cabs select them.

So where's that alleged ingame shop for purchasing Rootage unlocks? It's been like 5 or 6 months now.

It’s called “Tone Discharger” and has been available since the beginning of the month. The in game shop isn’t actually in game. You buy them from the games website and need the basic subscription.
