Hello and thank you for taking a moment to read this. I make simfiles. My interest in Stepmania re-emerged after not having played the game for a LONG time. I stopped playing competitively a long time ago as I could no longer keep up with the ever-increasingly difficult step charts. The songs were getting longer, faster and harder and I couldn't keep up at a competitive rate, so I quit completely. Almost completely. I still play for fun but I'll NEVER participate in a tournament again. In a sense this made me feel like a dead-weight, so I decided to start designing simfiles again, hoping that at least one person will appreciate the work I do and that my efforts will positively serve the stepmania community. I had a previous collection of work that I made on a WIndows XP desktop where I uploaded my work to bemanistyle.com, a domain no longer serving its original purpose. My uploaded files went down with the site. Making matters worse, my stepfather broke down the PC I had worked on these files. I later recovered that computer's hard drive, only to find that my original simfiles weren't there anymore. All that remained was the directory of where Stepmania was once installed, not even an EXE file was to be found. My original work is lost forever, unless someone who downloaded my work from bemanistyle.com still has copies of my simfiles. My username was "Master of Darkness" (MOD). Cheesy I know. But from what I remember of my original work, my new simfiles are all-around superior. Better step-charts, better music trimming, cleaner backgrounds and banners, videos, effects, volume-leveling, you name it. I sincerely hope you enjoy my work and hope this website will continue to stay up so other folks can enjoy what I've done. Thank you very much.
