Comments | There's a large backstory to the making of this file if you care to stick around to read. The first problem I ran into was making the background image. Because the eye is in the center of the image, it dominates what space is available to add text for the title and artist. I originally placed the title text right above the eye, but the arrow targets were cutting into it when I played it back. I eventually settled on tilting the text at an angle to accommodate this. The artist text was easy. I simply placed it beneath the eye and created a transparent effect to make it look like it was part of the tear drop. In the original unedited image, that same tear drop had what looked like mascara particles, so I matched the color of the tear drop and gently painted over those portions so that the tear looks cleaner in the final picture.
The second problem was more of a challenge, pun intended. The intricate sounds that make up this song aren't completely uniform. So when I was designing the chart that would become a 10, I really had to slow down and take my time plotting the steps to make sure everything was consistent and following the music closely. I'm happy with the end result, but it took a lot of playing and replaying certain parts to make sure I was content with what I was doing.
The last problem I had was the sync. I resynced this song on at least three separate occasions while I was putting the file together. It SHOULD play fine now without issue. If it gives you trouble feel free to adjust the sync as needed, I'll understand.
Ultimately this file was a labor of love, and I'm thrilled with it. Don't let my efforts go to waste! VOLUME UPDATE 8/21/2018 |
