Your song choice MUST be a playable song in at least one official DDR mix.
- IF your song choice has ever been in an arcade version:
* The hardest official Singles chart may be no higher than X-scale 13. (Doubles chart ratings don't count.) If the song's charts have only ever been rated on the old 1-10 scale, this restriction does not apply; for example, you could rechart STAY by TESS if you wanted.
* If your song's hardest chart has been rated on the X-scale and is a 13 or lower, your rechart must be at least 2 levels higher than the rating of the original chart. For example, if you were to rechart [b]Healing Vision (Angelic mix), which is an Expert 13, your file's hardest chart must be a 15 or higher.
* If your song's charts have only ever been rated on the old scale, there is no restriction on how hard or easy your hardest chart may be. For example, you could make your rechart of [b]STAY by TESS an X-scale 10 if you wanted.
- IF your song choice is 100% console-exclusive:
* There are no restrictions on difficulty even if your song's official charts have been rated on the X-scale. For example, you could write a 10 for Still unbreakable, a song exclusive to Dance Dance Revolution II with an official Expert 11.
* You may also write charts for console exclusives that have received old-scale 10s. For example, you could write a 12 for Giudecca if you wanted.
- Remixes are not allowed.
- Censored/uncensored song versions and/or alternate song cuts are allowed.
