| Comments | Can you imagine, for a second, a Smile.dk song that's bigger than "Butterfly"? The one song everyone who's ever encountered a DDR machine (a not insignificant portion of the human population) knows? Well, I'm sure some of you already know this song better than I do, but a while back I was listening around Smile.dk's discography (and almost did a file for "First Time Lovers", another absolute banger of theirs I'd highly recommend) and came across this song, which initially delighted me for sounding a lot like Ace of Base, and then which delighted me more when I found out that this was originally *the* big Smile.dk hit, especially in the south Pacific (it was a top 10 hit in New Zealand and is fondly remembered as a song that played in gym class there? Love that.) Its history, as is the history of Smile.dk in general tbh, is kind of remarkable, but I wanted to make a fun, deceptively technical chart out of this song and I think I succeeded On the harder charts, expect to see bigger voltage bursts, with a lot of crossovers on the challenge charts, with some jump streams or jacks near the end on all charts. I honestly can't believe I've never done a chart for a Smile.dk song before, but this one got done so quickly and easily it kind of makes me wonder why I haven't done more before.
A note: all ChickyMix 6 songs use the DDR X-rating scale. Their approximate equivalent ratings for the Extreme rating scale would be:
Singles - 1/5/7/9/10, Doubles - 1/7/9/10 |
