Comments | In 1999, Konami developed an innovative vocal synthesis engine called Vocalive to enhance the music creation for their upcoming dance games. This technology featured two unique vocals: The pair, known internally as codename "0-M1" and "0-M0", also referred to as collectively as "Double M", would later be given the names "MIKU" and "MEIKO" respectively by Crypton Future Media.
However, the technology was still in its infancy and was costly, leading Konami to eventually shut the doors on Vocalive permanently and transfer their advancements to YAMAHA for further development. The song you are about to play, and the beta dancer models, were recently discovered, hidden deep within the files of a lost DDR 3rd Mix build; a small glimpse into the early stages of vocal synth technology.

I wanted to chart this in a sort-of-3rd Mix style, featuring my own charting style. I think it came out pretty well! There's some unmarked doublesteps, janky movement, quick jumps and parts that don't quite fit to the music on purpose. It's a risk, but I enjoyed making this! |
