I began participating in the contests because I was interested in playing other people's charts and seeing how everyone else thinks about my charts. It's a lot of fun! There's so many different styles and distinctive features from everyone's files. Towards the ending of Summer Contest 2023, but especially in this contest, I have been catching myself in changing my entire approach to not just how I write charts, but how I perceive the game as a whole, in an attempt to get higher scores from everyone else. For one, this did not just mostly not work out a lot of the time (Todestrieb...), but what's especially important is that it all started becoming less fun and even frustrating to me. I don't want that!
So from here on, I will go back to doing and charting what I want to and how I want to. I will be free, like I have an UNBOUND MIND. 😊 |
