| Comments |  This is Souhait bleu, a song that caught my attention from the moment it was added to SOUND VOLTEX about two years ago. Usually, it is pretty widely agreed among DDR steppers that charting songs at this BPM (210-230 BPM) can be hard to manage, especially with regards to balancing difficulty & maintaining a proper "difficulty curve" throughout the whole chart, which makes this a bit of a risky entry for me. However, I am confident enough in this chart that I am willing to take that risk. Plus, the song is just too good and too cute in it's own way (without any vocals!) that I really wanted to make it work. Following from what I said about difficulty, I took a lot of caution when writing the charts for this, especially when it comes to any sort of 16th bursts, as these can very quickly escalate any difficulty balance that would be present in the chart. I was similarly cautious with the ratings: In most of my drafts for this file leading up to it's release, I had both of the Difficult charts rated as a 12, and both of the Expert charts rated as 15s. However, I know that fast songs in DDR can be much harder than the chart writers think, so I bumped all of those up by 1. I hope that this is the correct call ^-^ Enjoy the file <3 |
