I applaud you for trying. We all started somewhere. I think the best advice I could give you is to actually play doubles at all levels for some time before trying to write. You'll get an idea of what works and what doesn't work. When you do plan to try writing again, I'd also recommend starting with something easier, preferably with just quarter notes and 8th notes.
