There is other much better workaround than you suggested. Open the link and copy-paste these codes to your current theme's ScreenStageInformation decorations' or overlay's default.lua file (preferably next lines after the "local t = Def.ActorFrame {};" or "local t = LoadFallbackB();" lines ). This should also play the other movies of this kind too.

Because of the exclamation marks in the filename, the AVI is not automatically called by StepMania and must be manually scripted.
