Comments | X-SCALE: 1/4/7/11/13 Pokemon Gold was the first game that I ever put more than 100 hours into, so naturally I've listened to the game's soundtrack a lot. Even though it's not the first time I had ever heard 8-bit music (far from it, actually; my first video game ever was Super Mario Bros. on the NES), this is the game when I realized that I actually enjoyed the sound of 8-bit bloops. I've been kind of a sucker for chiptunes ever since. This remix of the Ice Path theme keeps a lot of the 8-bit charm while also tossing in some heavy beats and a funky synth. ![]() |
