Comments | Charted in 2016. The first file I step for 2016 is music from a somewhat obscure SNES platformer. That platformer is no other than Plok!, released in 1993.
The file starts with a bunch of 24ths that go to the music, then the song slows down and uses a handful of trills of varying note lengths. A sudden 12th burst at 330 BPM later, a bunch of 16ths and jumps ensue, including long jumpstream that's mostly made up of trills. Then come 16th triplets, some beginning or ending with jumps. This continues until the song slows down...then turns to a gradually-faster trill that caps out at exactly 600 BPM before slowing down again...then using another unexpected speed change for a quick 16th burst at 306 BPM ending with a freeze arrow. A few more 24th trills later, the song loops.
In short, it's pretty tough. I kind of made the move towards tougher files this year, since I'm starting to gain faster finger speed. |
