Comments | In my early years, I never really listened to any other kinds of music besides Rock n Roll (Classic 80s-90s stuff mostly). It was the norm in my life, and every other music genre just seemed inferior. That is until late 2003, when I first listened to the Extinguished: Outtakes album by Prefuse 73. I remember falling in love with the beats and rhythms and being entranced by the music. It was brilliant, I loved every second of it, and all I wanted from then on was to find more music like that, discover what other kinds of music were out there, and just listen to all of it. Music has shaped my life in many ways, and honestly, had I never listened to that Prefuse 73 album way back when I was little, i'd probably still be listening to the same old stuff constantly and never giving other music a chance.
Robot Snares Got No Cadence Or Balance was the standout song to me when I first heard it, and it's still a personal favorite song of mine even now. Every time I hear it, i'm reminded of those days back in 2003-04, when I would take the CD and loop it on my dad's walkman walking home from school and before bed. |
