Comments | The Goblin Returns - Skaven (BPM: 62-323) SP: 2/4/7/8/9/10 Finnish demoscene composer Skaven, of Future Crew fame, has made quite a selection of music; this particular one won the Assembly 2002 competition. Even though the overall theme is "horror", it's also somewhat whimsical. It is a remake of one of his earlier tracks. Keeping the whimsical notion, I've decided on a fanciful sync. Music starts slow at 102, speeds up to the high 130s, then to about 163. There is a half-BPM drop before the "intense" section and a hyper-slow-and-hyper-fast stop section at the end. Beginner is a loaded simple chart. Basic has taps, then freezes, then jumps. Difficult has those with 8th clusters. Expert has variative 8ths in fairly dense clusters. Challenge has even denser clusters with the addition of 16ths; the hardest is a three-measure gallop section. I've included an intense Edit that contains lots of hard 16ths in the "intense" section.
