Z-I-v Simfile Tycoon '18 [Thanks for participating!]

I was guessing (and hoping) that 01angel submitted this song, but I guess I was wrong this time (and the streak had to end eventually). Still, this is the best song I've received in the contest so far, hands down.

Oh, and before anyone asks, I did replace the audio file in the skeleton with my own, the only difference being I reproduced the cut as much as possible, but the ending is no longer abruptly cut off (darkanine did give me permission).

Announcement: Final Rule Changes

• Starting Round D Auction, bidding values will be hidden. You will not know how much each skeleton is going for, so you will need to bid the maximum you are willing to pay for each song. If you are still a bit unsure of how bidding works, watch this insightful video.

• The veto price will go up by 5 for each veto you purchase. So the first veto will be 5, the second veto will be 10, the third veto will be 15, etc.

• Buy-in vetos allow you to buy into auction, as long as its before the bidding deadline. You put the backup song you receive into the auction pool with a bid from you already on it equal to the cost of the veto. You can still bid on other songs if you want.

These rules will go into effect by the next coming deadline.

I'm throwing this idea here but what if the bidding was hidden only for the last 2/3 days? It could avoid the last-minute bid move and it still can give people info on what to go for

There is no point, since if you are willing to pay a maximum of $10, then you should bid $10. You are more likely than not to get it for much less, based on the demand for the skeleton.
Also, doing this gets rid of the possibility of users manipulating their bids in order to make people pay the maximum amount.

Hi.

I have reuploaded Chrome Lion with added graphics from Gameoson and tweaked the steps a little bit (4th-16th-16th-4th gallops were added in a handful of places I thought were too flat with just 8ths). For the 11 people that have, it is recommended that you re-download: I only really changed 6 arrows but I think it adds to the song a little more. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hey wow I finally have a challenge chart.

For me, at least, besides my own song, this was the best skeleton this round. Considering no one else bid on it, I guess people were sleeping on it.

I think I used my tech most effectively here so that's cool, and hard feels nice too so hopefully this goes as well as Kali. Watch for the slowdown on and for that reason you might wanna turn your speed mod up a bit/cmod it. I did test the 24ths and up, once again they're correct, slow it down if you want. (Still surprised Kali did that well but hey I'll take it.)

From the album Hardcore United Tokyo

On the one hand, the cut for this was a tad long, pushing the 2:30 mark--I went with heavy and challenge to get my main ideas across, due to time constraints. Still, out of the thousands of songs in my music collection, the full track of this was already #61 on my most-played list, so I'm glad I could give this a shot. (Good taste, MRace!) Also, my first go at mines! Hope they look all right.

Maybe this is not the correct section to ask this in but 1 hour is left till my deadline and I have a video in my simfile which is NOT working and I'm panicking. I have no idea how to put a custom video in the background and I need help asap, that video took me way too long to be excluded from the simfile

EDIT: It tells me the wmv format I have used is not recognized. What format should I use?

Are you referring to the official 123456 Pokémon video? I can send over an .avi file for you to use.

Edit: Zenius-I-vanisher only takes .avis for the videos. However, according to this post, these are the SM5 compatible formats:


If you use Stepmania 3.9, that too is only compatible with .avis (I tried everything else I could back in 2015, it didn't work).

Not that, I've made a custom video myself, but since you said .avi I'm going to try that format

I don't know how people format their simfile posts, so I'm going to skip that for now...

I've uploaded inkjet samba to the folder. I was working on all the difficulties below but only got the chart finished. Since I doubt that's going to be judged, I omitted the chart and only submitted a chart, I hope it's enough. I plan to finish the remaining charts and upload them to my personal simfile category later, if that's alright.

Okay, so when I saw this song I KNEW I wanted it right away, and I'm more than happy with the fact that I ended up with it. Thank you, mf32892, for providing such an awesome choice of song - you know I can't resist Pop'n Music ANYTHING! (Oh, and I made my own jacket for it )
The graphics were based on its Pop'n Music graphics, even featuring its character ROSA in them, though the song cut is from the album version as opposed to the in-game version. It was still fun to work with at 240 BPM - and hey, this is the first time this contest I got a full set of charts (not counting ) created! I DID actually want to make a chart for it at first but I felt it would be too much after my chart ended up being completed...(´･ω･`)
