Funny story about this round, I was actually planning on submitting this last week but I never got a word on whether this was allowable since the song doesn't have an artist credit. Amusingly, without that credit, officially (according to the release data) we have a 5 character title and 8 character artist, so now I can speedrun this round and submit this.
I'm trying some different stylistic choices for this round, without reviews it's tough to say if some things in round 1/2 were holding me back, certainly I bet the reupload in round 1 might have left people with a wrong version but beyond that I'm still kinda flying blind. Oh well.

I'm confused about this theme. One of the songs I'm considering is called キラキラ☆, which in romaji is kirakira☆. Which version of the title counts towards the limit, and do special characters like ☆ count towards the limit?

I see your 8 character title/artist limit and raise you a 2 character limit for both. I found this song a few weeks ago while listening to the New Music Friday playlist on Spotify and liked its catchy boyband charm (not to mention the singer is pretty cute). I'm very happy I happened to stumble on this song recently or I would have had a hard time choosing something for this week.
Not much to say about the stepchart except I tried to make a cute, fun chart to match the cute, fun song. I was particularly inspired by a lot of the fun

Well, ledgam3r1279's song is called 月光乱舞 and the romaji is "Gekkou ranbu", longer than the limit and it seems to be fine... the correct tag for your song is キラキラ☆ and that's under the limit also so it doesn't matter if special characters count in that case.Post #274 · Posted at 2017-05-24 09:58:52pm 6.9 years ago

This "Lulu" isn't the same one who did that "Shout" cover back in DDR SuperNova (I'd be darned if that one even spoke Chinese!); this one is from Taiwan and also goes by "黄路梓茵", or sometimes "Lulu 黄路梓茵", to distinguish her from other Lulus who might be out there (*´∇｀*)
Anyway, I had wanted to step this last week, but due to it being too short, I couldn't...But, luckily, the title ended up being 3 characters in Chinese AND only 8 characters in pinyin ("Tui Zhi Ge"), and the artist is 4 characters in both English and Chinese (unless you're counting "Lulu 黄路梓茵", which is 8 characters so it's still good ^^) so I could get it submitted for this week (●≧ω≦)b
You might notice that the graphics feature some Japanese writing on them as well; that's because a Japanese version of the song does exist as well, but I decided to step the original Chinese version because I prefer it. (★・ω・)
The charts are pretty straightforward albeit fun; hope everyone likes it! ヾ(*´∀｀*)ﾉﾞ
