Is it just me or does 千年ノ理 have some weird doublesteps in the beginning? I tried seeing them as spin patterns but most of them don't work out and if they're intentional, they don't have any regularity or really go with the song.

プレインエイジア -PHQ remix- is pretty good tho.

Looks like spins to me. Definitely not straightforward ones but spins nonetheless.
They also do go to the song. It feels more like a dance you'd do with the genre, with some slow turns.

Have we hit the point that if every song doesn't have a 15+ chart, it's a dissapointment? I can give or take having challenge charts for the new songs. The charts we got are good as is.

They seem completely fine to me.

I'm not sure where DDR all of a sudden was expected to provide difficulty 15+ charts every single new song but that's never been DDR's focus. Extreme still gets played to this day with a mere 5 charts max of anything fitting that criteria, and even modern DDR songs that do provide a 15+ still have a 10-14 chart accompanied with it. It's as if it is the most played range or something.

Besides, most of the people that would play those harder charts would probably just play them once then never again in favor of playing something from X2 back for the thousandth time.

SDVX and Reflecbeat went from three difficulties to three and a "", then to 4 difficulties default and a new "", can't see why ddr couldn't follow. you could make a quality 15+ for most of the songs in the songlist that isn't the idol shit in 2014.

Now this is the reason why I typed the hopes for KONAMI to add Challenge charts for 千年ノ理 and プレインエイジア -PHQ remix-. The note density of those songs makes them deserving for Challenge charts. Even jubeat has those songs leveled 10 (the highest level) in the highest difficulty (before 千年ノ理's was re-rated to 9).

The expert charts are fine and we don't actually need challenge charts. All we would get in return are overstepped charts that, quite frankly, the majority of you that ask for challenge charts would play once and never again, going back to the expert charts that are better charted and make more sense.

also, none of you are allowed to use the term overcharted/undercharted ever again until you understand what that means.

I'd like to remind everyone that jubeat, SDVX, and RB are in fact, not DDR. Playing a game with your fingers is significantly easier than playing a game with your feet, and as such the difficulty level can consistently be higher. It's much easier to make a good, hard chart for those three games than it is in DDR without having overstepped, jump-ridden piece of garbage.

I personally do not understand why so many people go like "hope it gets a challenge chart" for like, EVERY SINGLE EXTRA SAVIOR SONG IN THE GAME. The expert charts are good enough. These two are very good and I can't wait to play them. They don't NEED challenge charts, you just want them because you want some hard shit. You could find hard shit by going to level sort and picking 15+. Have fun.

Or you could make your own challenge chart in StepMania.

I'm actually perfectly okay with the new charts being a 12 and a 13 because they look like fun 12's and 13's. It's funny how i didn't see these same complaints when songs like Sephirot and Angelic Jelly were Extra Savior songs

Zephyranthes, Angelic Jelly, Sephirot, Grand Chariot, and Strayed Catz could totally have 15+ challenge charts and it's a shame they don't. The EXH chart for most of these songs is actually in the 13-15 range in SDVX, but they still got harder 17/18 charts that you can unlock.

Making hard charts for a dance game isn't hard lol. If anything it's harder to make hard charts for SDVX because of actually impossible to perform patterns and having to effect songs.

I get that charts are always 12-14 cause that's what eAmuse stats say most people are playing but it takes literally a day (or less) to make a chart if you're not trash at it. It's not like having challenge charts for songs is a bad thing (and no, songs being "overcharted" is not a valid excuse).
