So apologies for the long wait. I am on a train back home from OTAKON at the moment, but I feel I can announce the last week for regular players.
You know, train trips are nice when you want to explore interstate and etc. but how about we take things international for the final week?
For this week, you are to step a song that includes exotic instruments.
HOLD IT! Before you PM me or others about this week's theme, let me clear a few things. I received a lot of PMs on Discord about what qualifies for onomatopoeia or scatting, even last minute. So let me try to explain in detail this week to avoid confusion...
We are looking at EXOTIC instruments, not TRADITIONAL: this means instruments specifically associated with a certain country or culture. So trumpets, violins, flutes, guitars, oboes, harps, and other universal instruments will not count. However, bagpipes (U.K.), kotos (Japan), banjos (United States), and other instruments of the like count.
Other than that, you are free to step whatever song you want, so make this one count as it may be your last!
That is all! Any more questions, don't feel afraid to PM me.

This song was suggested to me by t7r (thanks so much bro), him knowing my affinity for the artists of this song, and I do like this song a lot so I still pulled through, but I would be lying if I said that I didn't consider giving up on this and submitting something different at least once. This is also my first GITADORA original contest submission ever (at least I think?) and there is a reason for this -- I am really bad at stepping anything that resembles rock. It's just not my "style" at all. The amount of time sunk into this file reflects this as well (I think I spent more time on this than on both OOO and IIDX together.)
Still, I am glad that I managed to complete this, as I do plan on doing more files from the GITADORA series in the future. I want to branch out into the different BEMANI franchises as much as possible, and the GITADORA series has a lot of great songs that I would like to chart in the future. I just have to improve with songs like this.
(However, what does annoy me is that GITADORA graphics all seem to be only 384x384, making creating graphics kinda hard. Why can't it be like with SDVX...)
I said at some point that LASER CRUSTER was going to be my hardest file in this contest... well, that obviously was not true.
In fact, one might say that this is a bit of a glimpse of what the near future has to offer...

Lmao another boss chart from me. I feel like I only made one sub-15 chart in the entirety of the contest even though my forte isn't on 17/18-footer. But here you go.
I'm not doing something extreme like Let Me Think About It here, but be cautious with crossovers and twists.
There are plenty of exotic instruments here that I don't think I want to list one by one.
EDIT: Also notecount kinda bloated because song is 2:26 in duration.
