-more 9-12 range charts. Casuals don't play the 15+ range, we don't need that many.

Are you serious? Go to a DDR A, choose the Level folder, go to Levels 9, 10, 11, 12. We have enough.

You know why you say this? Because you have that stugma that if it's in Difficult, it doesn't matter. Things loke Basic, Expert, Challenge are all just names. You have to go by the number.

If a song is a level 15 on Difficult.... it's still a 15!

If a song is a 13 on Difficult, it's still a 13. That song could have been on Challenge and it'd still mostly run the same chart.

"Ice Bear believed in you."
I just want more original songs. It's ridiculous how DDR's A initial songlist consisted mostly of licenses, songs from 2014 + a few originals.

How about some metal music at least? BABYMETAL would be a perfect addition the DDR series atleast.

"five minute white boy challenge"
No retarded unlock systems.

This won't happen.

Really, aside from ENDYMION and the New Generation stuff, most of the unlock systems are sensible - play it on Extra Stage; that's kind of it.

ENDYMION taking over 70 days did really exemplify how stupid that was; then again, forcing the cycle to last that long was probably the point

My personal wishlist, items we stand a chance of getting:
-A few more 19's, because slowly but surely they're getting better (It took ten 18's before we got Anti-Matter, which marks not being stupid at the 18-level), and given EGOISM 440 exists I don't think it'll take a whole ten 19's to make a good one or two
-More memorable KO's (I liked the songs this time around, I just want more of them)
-More 17's - we got like over a dozen 16's in DDR A, compared to, what, five 17's? (We got: Triple Counter, New Century on Heavy, RISING FIRE HAWK, Emera, thing I forget the name of on Challenge.)
-If they must crossover from SDVX, could we get something difficult, like For UltraPlayers, Bangin' Burst or Blastix Riotz?
-Same goes for IIDX. Mendes? Mare Nectaris? (Okay, both of those have about as much of a hope being crossed as PARANOiA Revolution and ENDYMION have being crossed, maybe that isn't plausible).
-Possible revivals of Dancemania songs? It IS the 20th anniversary
-More use out of split timing - I see so many possibilities to see what they'll do; which is why they'll probably waste it and never use it again.
-A challenge so difficult that we can exceed Over The "Period"s record for 132 days to pass without forcibly restricting how often you can play it - of course, then they'll screw it up by restricting how often you can play it anyway
-First 20; because oh come on

Implausible items (as in I'm not getting my hopes up for any of these, and neither should anyone else):
-Course mode
-Encore Extra Stage that's regularly accessible
-Attack PFC Extra Stage, rather than EES
-"PFC-Risky" as a battery option, for crazy people
-Challenge charts that are majority-not garbage (note this actually happened, DDR A had I'd say more good-marvelous Challenge charts than miss Challenge charts, I just don't trust the streak of luck to last)
-Okay, I'll admit I don't find the announcer as annoying as some people do (I don't notice him nearly as much when I'm actually playing for some reason, and that's what matters most), but could we get something different? We've been hearing "COMBO WOMBOS" for 10 years now.

"Wish I could change my username"
I would want a 3rdMIX mode or something like that, bringing back one of the old DDR games.
I would also LOVE to see the return of Step Battle, but it would be cool if you didn't have to make your steps along to the official steps... Kinda like edit mode, but not.

"Crybabies unite~ ♡"
Make me a KONAMI step artist. I'm kidding. Laughing Out Loud

Definitely some more original songs that run between 230 and 260 BPM, we're still pretty lacking in that range. I think harder charts with long strings of 8th crossovers at such speed would be a good bridge for people trying to practice for stuff like PARANOIA survivor, NGO, etc. More 260~300 are also welcome.

I'm not sure how this would work with licensing and all, but it'd be sweet to see some songs from Ultramix and Universe make it onto an arcade version.
Some new remixes of older songs would be really cool to see, or maybe even just some SOUND VOLTEX remixes
There are a lot of songs that deserve challenge charts that don't have one, it would be cool for Konami to go back and add some even though they've never really done that before.

"Crybabies unite~ ♡"
They did add a handful of new Challenge charts to older songs, actually... not during DDR A though.

Just from 2014 we had these (listing 2+ mixes old songs since then):
PARANOiA KCET ~clean mix~
Kind Lady (RIP)
Malacca
Tribe

X and X2 also added them to SN/SN2 if I recall.

I know this is a wishlist. BUUUTTT.....iirc they can't revive most of the konami original songs due to songwriter issues, most of the songs written by jonny dynamite and julie frost (like ON THE JAZZ, Groove, etc) had to be cut because they don't have the rights to use it in arcade versions anymore. and good-cool doesn't want his songs in ddr either. Sky to the Limit is a replacement for Look to the Sky. Character revivals are unlikely. Dancemania revivals could be a possibility, but they've done them for like 3 times now.
And people seem to forget that DDR's birthday is in SEPTEMBER 2018. That means we have to wait another 11 months fo a new mix unless Konami decides to release it on another month. We'll probably see a short append version before then.

If anything is being made, we'll most likely hear about it in spring 2018.

If Konami is smart and want money, they'd work on a console release as well, and if that happens, that would probably be released around holidays 2018.

Bring back FLOOR INFECTION! Every other series has gotten SDVX crossovers through the ongoing event, and the only songs to make it into DDR were technically part of that GUMI event back in 2014. (And IMO only one of them was actually good.) That was part 10, and the most recent one was 29 with jubeat clan. Hell, even IIDX got some really good songs out of it. I know we got Ha・lle・lu・jah as a regular crossover, but that's the only SDVX song in DDR that isn't a Vocaloid license.

Ok, I invite more 15+ charts on basic. The casuals have had it far too easy for too long. More 18s on difficult, the next step up is a giant leap forward.

When you play at one difficulty level, you tend to only take into consideration those charts and nothing else. I don't play on the lower levels anymore. I play expert and challenge, so when I ask for more 9-12s, I want more of those on expert and some challenge. I'm indifferent on basic and difficult since I dont play those anymore. I could do with less 17s and 18s at the higher level since it feels like an oversaturation.

So, a good assumption, but incorrect

Maybe do difficulty the Pump way. Do away with the "Beginner/Basic/etc." tags and just have numbers. Would remove some of the stigma.

Personally, I don't think anything below about a 12 is appropriate for a difficulty literally called "Expert". I mean, what's the point of the name if you're just shovelling easy stuff on it?

If you want easy charts, don't play on hard mode. It's as simple as that. Care more about the numbers and less about the names.

Konami won't expect anyone to have the space for a good pad directly in front of their computer. It'll have to either be consoles or arcades.

I'd like more licensed, non-Touhou Japanese music. More anime songs like はなまるぴっぴはよいこだけ. I guess that's more Jubeat's territory, but I think it'd be great in DDR.

I'm a freak when it comes to my song metadata being in the correct language so even though some people said they want the song titles to be localized, I hope that the next DDR keeps the song titles in Japanese, even in the English release.

Actually wait this is my real only request:

I'll fully admit that as much as I usually play Stepmania on laptop with a dance pad, it's a pretty iffy setup and I don't recommend it to anyone except people who really really like the game - dance pads take up an annoyingly large amount of floor space.

That and it's Konami; do they even do console games anymore, let alone a Bemani rhythm game series?
