When I have some downtime tomorrow I think I'm going to make screenshots of how these patterns actually look in-game. LDRDLUDR etc. is nice and all but having a picture to look at is ten times better IMO

unless someone's already got in-game screenshots to show in which case someone link to it please

EDIT: ddrcommunity.com actually has a basic and an advanced guide that show in-game screenshots of some of the most common patterns. The latter also shows the Wadatsumi footswitch which wasn't in xRGTMx's guide.

Let the record show I didn't start getting any points in SC2012 until I began consulting those posts. Those posts are literal godsends, so definitely take the time to read those if you keep finding yourself performing poorly, especially the doublestep post by TaroNuke. While crossovers can be great, too many can kill a chart's flow, so focus on not having the player doublestep too much if at all.

(On another note, have I really been doing this for 6 years? I know I'm only 19 but god I feel archaic.)

I think this works. I honestly thought the 10 would be more in line with the 7 until I started actually charting it and... oops.

Might be tweaking it throughout the week because it's been a pain in the ass to get notes right.

I actually have but I normally wait until after I get votes in to check them out or I just completely forget at times due to not used to seeing people contribute to doubles.

When I saw the word “trumpet” on that list of acceptable wind instruments, it just really put me in the mood for some disco house. I had two potential songs in mind, but I decided to go with this track from BOF2013 (although there ended up being fewer horns than I thought). It was a nice change of pace to do something on the slower side, though it still gets a little tangly at times.

Been really hooked onto BanG Dream! Girls Band Party at the moment and I knew I wanted to step some of the songs from it sometime along the line. I thought this one might work well for the theme since it's got some trumpets, flutes, and I think clarinets too in it; besides, it's also my favorite song from the game so yay~

Heavy

is easy but it's kinda technical too, as there are some walks and spins in there! (Also, all repeated arrows in all charts are intended to be played as JACKS!)

My original thought for this theme was Ariana Grande's various songs with wind instruments (Problem, Focus, Greedy, Step On Up, Bang Bang). Then my mind switched to Love So Soft by Kelly Clarkson. Then I remembered this song and I couldn't choose between this or Love So Soft. I ended up making the Expert chart for both, and I liked how this one turned out better.[/url]

may have even taken 3. I spent so long figuring out how I wanted to step this thing, especially considering the richness of the instrumentation. The other day I streamed when I streamed myself judging files, I went on a rant about how many times Challenge

files can feel like overkill, yet here I am submitting a Challenge

chart with a max combo of 816. Oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ As for the wind instrument, I can't tell if this uses trumpets or some kind of horn but it's definitely some sort of brass wind instrument.

OH YEAH two more notes: 1) If you already downloaded the file, please reset the sync to -1.516 or redownload the .sm file. 2) don't yell at me for how weirdly the bpm change is set up it was the only way to make it so that the file didn't suffer from yellow note or blue note syndrome
