| Comments | A little history lesson for y'all: Gerry Goffin and Carole King wrote this song, originally recorded by Little Eva, in 1962. In 1974, Grand Funk Railroad took their cover to #1. A then-unknown Kylie Minogue would record the song for her 1987 debut album. It flopped. But when Kylie re-recorded the track with the production team of Stock/Aitken/Waterman the following year, BAM! Magic happened. It became Kylie's first hit single, as well as what I believe is the definitive version of this legendary song. If anyone wants to make Doubles charts for this song, please go right ahead! |
