Comments | Well, it's the end, isn't it? Dayum, never thought I'd get there with an actual slot in the final, but there we are. Of course, I was literally three or so points off having five entries, haha
Still, what better way to end than possibly one of the greatest songs in IIDX? Rising in the Sun is a fun-filled 2 minute slice of UK hardcore from DJ TROOPERS. This song pretty much deserved to be stepped. It's hands-down my favourite song that I've done in the whole contest. The build-up in it is absolutely phenomenal. Top marks to kors k for that one.
Steps are a 4/6/8 affair, which is par for the course at 172bpm. The steps are a four-parter: first the light patterns with a few 16ths dotted in for good measure. Second comes the breakdown, a freeze-heavy section that serves as a little breather for what's about to come. Third, that build-up. Nothing out of the ordinary, with 4ths going into an 8th run. Finally, the main meat of the chart: a lot more chaotic now, with the 16ths more common, but nothing that'll properly hurt.
So there we have it, the longest description I've given a song since it was made mandatory in DDR Evolved contests, and what I hope to be the best two minutes of this contest. I hope you enjoy it. |
