Indeed the screen may have been "magnetized". A magnetic field can screw up the colors on a screen (this has to do with the eletrons on the tube... f***ing magnets, how do they work !?)
Usually the screen has a degauss function to correct colors but in this case it might be non functioning.

Yeah there is some screen color problems, but it is still playable fortunately 
(the left side also seems in better shape)
