Yeah, I got that 30 Lives challenge garbage haha. The Visual MA window is much diff on this mix, too. I just played it w/ two thumbs, haha. I also hate the Xbox button too. I also like after all these boring Quest Mode matches on Light and then Difficult how you can beat the final 5 bosses in the tower in under 250 steps (with a backup dancer and all marvs/perfs). :-z

I had a lot of trouble CCRing on this game... my usual setup is the first two fingers of each hand, left on LD and right on UR. But, on the harder songs I'd need to grip the controller more since it's not as curved as the PS2 one (and would slide off my leg, wheeee!) so my hand would start tensing up and I'd hit the X-Box button, pwning me out of the rest of the song as I watch the system menu load with the arrows (and lifebar) still moving in the background.
But yeah, I played through Quest Mode on pad and unlocking the songs wasn't that bad. I had to use a chair for the boss songs (and had to retry them a few times thanks to CPU opponent luck, guh!) but it was a lot of fun. If you ever go back and look at the optional higher-difficulty versions of the challenges, there are some hilariously BS ones. There's one where you have to step the Konami code part of 30 Lives, on Stealth, and get all Marvs.

LOL Howie - you seem to feel my frustration. I should probably have gone through Quest Mode from the beginning, but I thought it'd be a really long mode. Oops. So about 20 or more of those were me trying to play it on 3.5x on Bonus Stage or 2.5x Reverse Boost on Extra Stage, lol.
