"What If You Had A Gun?" |
Not entirely sure if this should be in BEMANI Games or Other Music Games, but this is significant enough to warrant its own thread.
Konami has announced a partnership with Sega and Bandai Namco to unify their arcade game cards (eAMUSEMENT, Aime and Bana Passport) under one service starting this summer, called Amusement IC. All games will now accept PASELI, and your eAMUSE, Aime, or Bana card will work at any game that uses any of those services (so you can use an Aime card for DDR or an eAMUSE card for maimai, for example).

Wait what. Does that mean PASELI is coming to America since we have Round 1's with Groove Coaster?
What about our existing E-Amusement cards here in the states? Do we have to buy a new card and transfer it over?

Groove Coaster uses NESICA IC Cards, which is not part of the unification deal.Post #4 · Posted at 2018-02-09 05:37:05am 7.2 years ago

Round1 does sell Namco's Bana Passport card, presumably for the fighting games.
I'd imagine that no new cards would be necessary (one would hope, anyway).
Maybe I'm just cynical, but I wouldn't hold my breath on getting any sort of PASELI benefits at Round1.

So this means I can use my eAmuse card with CrossBeats REV? Or use a Bana Passport card for IIDX? Pretty curious to see how that's gonna work.
Here's hoping uniting the accounts won't be a pain in the ass... X_X

I've been told that this new system may actually require the purchase of a new card that uses a different chip for this system, and you'd have to unite all your old accounts and scores onto the new card. I don't think you'll be able to convert your e-Amuse card to Amusement IC.

Sounds like a real pain if that's the case, both for the consumer and the Round1 stores who will have to destroy all those other cards and buy supply for these new ones. >>

OP is misinformed, PASELI is a "possibility" according to staff.. it's up to the other companies to allow it. More news coming during day 2.
Cards will still work with their respective network. You'll just have to carry all 3..

This won't appear to be an issue until new games start arriving that support this new standard. Unless I missed something, are currently released games going to convert to it at some point?

Was it ever mentioned that the old cards will become useless? If so, source?

Does this mean I can just carry a e-AMUSEMENT pass around, and use that for games like Project DIVA ARCADE FUTURE TONE and Taiko no Tatsujin at will without any problems?

I know, but I was just asking if this new deal will make it possible for me to use an e-AMUSEMENT pass on those kinds of games.

No. The whole point of this is to make it convenient for players by only having to use 1 card for all 3 networks. Once you purchase an Amusement IC card, then you'll be able to use that card for all eAMUSEMENT, Aime, and Banapass connected games.

Amusement IC finally went live... but does anyone see the データ移行 button in Aime as pictured at https://my-aime.net/usage ? I don't see it.
edit: buttons are in Internet Explorer 11... buttons are missing in Firefox 56.

I got a question: I own both an e-amusement pass and an AiME card. Is it possible to merge both cards' data into one of them?

You need to buy one of the new Amusement IC cards. There is a 20-digit access code on the back.
e-amusement design: https://japan.cnet.com/image/l/storage/35127563/storage/2018/10/25/9ead4e8432f60af04f757e34fd5ffb2c/03.jpg
Aime design: https://japan.cnet.com/image/l/storage/35127563/storage/2018/10/25/bb8a3fa335fd2562ee04208108a46d42/02.jpg
Banapass design: https://japan.cnet.com/image/l/storage/35127563/storage/2018/10/25/6ac0d787d2ef0da8311d486faee52389/04.jpg
After you have your new card, you need to transfer your game data at each of https://p.eagate.573.jp/gate/eapass/menu.html and https://my-aime.net/ (not all web browsers work for Aime) to your new 20-digit access code.

Alright.
I'll just have to wait for my local arcade to stock up on those cards.
