Hi i'm back with this.
my dance pad again haves the axis problem, and I don't know how to fix it. My operative system is Manjaro KDE (yes, I changed my distro) and it contains a program called Joystick that before it fixed the problem, but now after that I format my PC, it doesn't work. I posted a thread weeks ago about this problem.
BTW, my dance pad is from PSX, and obviously I use an adapter, specifically this.
I hope to find a solution to this soon.

Have you tried this tips? http://ec2.stepmania.com/wiki/Joystick_Axes_Problem also, if you've formatted the pc, are you still using linux? Wich one?

Have you tried the old pad trick?
Also you can try antimicro, that is like joy2key for linux, it has saved my life in some opportunities

You need to chooose it from the device list, press the buttons, and assign, the keys, here is a video.
