[SM5.0/5.1 Theme] SMXG Re:Evolution^3

Out of all the SM themes I've seen that do things like this, nowhere have I ever seen ones that involve GF/DM. Now there is. If it's not clear, the theme is influenced/an interpretation of Gitadora Tri-Boost Re:Evolve. I even emulated some of its nuances. You really need to see it in motion to appreciate it. If this ends up good, I might do "XG4" or Matixx in the future.

I got some other details done today, including finishing evaluation, adding a few sound effects, and getting a song display onto gameplay (it renders in the centre when it's not in Center 1 Player mode).

Awesome theme you got going on. Could support for Chinese and Korean characters be included, since some people will use songs with Chinese/Korean characters in them? I was just asking, since not all themes contain support for Chinese/Korean characters.

This would be something that needs to be in SM core/fallback, not a specific theme.

I guess the developers failed to add Chinese/Korean characters in fallback. Still a great theme nonetheless.

BUMP: My suspicions were correct. I investigated the fallback folder and guess what? There are Korean fonts but no Chinese fonts.

I think I've decided on a final name:

SMXG Re:Revolution³: Xtra-Generational Rock System 6.5, or otherwise just SMXG 6.5.

I'm really digging the aesthetic of this theme. I'm unfamiliar with a lot of GF/DM interfaces but this looks top. Clean but varied enough to be interesting to the eye. I bet it's rad in motion.

Amazing work on this theme! Now to make it better for me is to connect a guitar controller and play some GF/GITADORA songs with it. It may not work out great though, but I might as well give it a shot anyways.

I'm not sure if the Guitar Hero gametype is still there? (in fact, before I just put an obscure YouTube Poop joke instead, I was going to make the caution screen joke be more around the lines of "This is a dance game, not a band game. But don't hit your opponent with a guitar or drum sticks in any case. That hurts.")

I'm also doing a few patches at the moment, so stay tuned for a 1.0.1.

This isn't loading at all for me on 5.0.12

do you have the directory structure right? the folder with just the readme and another folder is not what goes into the theme folder. The folder next to the readme is what goes in.

welp that's what i get for not actually opening the folder within the zip and just dragging it in

next update: further commitment to my craft.
