This wouldn't work since the music wheel is still displayed during the select difficulty screen, the way I got it working in the konamix theme was to just display a black box over the music wheel and display the difficulties over it.

How do i exactly trigger a extra stage. I tried by getting AA on expert on all 3 stages and got nothing.

I ask mostly because some themes tend to change the rules for extra stage.

OK. I got the theme to work for me. It's great so far. I like the attention to detail to it. My small nitpick and it does come off as a question, but could you update it so that in the select music screen, you could default the BGs of the song as the jackets like with the DDR 2014 theme? Or if anyone knows how to do it? that'll be great. Otherwise, Nice theme

EVENT MODE: OFF.
1. Get an AA or AAA in FINAL STAGE on EXPERT or CHALLENGE.
2. During Gameplay screen of FINAL STAGE, do NOT go back to SELECT MUSIC. Once you return to SELECT MUSIC, you won't get into EXTRA STAGE even if you earn an AA or AAA in this round.


Fixed some extended genre adding rules. Please re-download it.
■You can add your own extended genre by adding new folder named 'Genres' into the "Themes" folder. Put some jackets named as "genre jacket beatmania.png", "genre jacket BeatStream.png",... etc in. The name of the jacket must be "genre jacket"+SPACE+the name of genre.
For example, a genre jacket named "genre jacket BeatStream.png" or "genre jacket BeatStream.jpg" implies a genre named "BeatStream".

Hey trav, which file changes a folder's name? IIRC if a folder is called "DanceDanceRevolution" for example, it'd be possible to show a different text (i.e. instead of showing "DanceDanceRevolution 2ndMIX" it shows only "DDR 2ndMIX"). I can't seem to find that file, and I know it's possible to do that since I change some files on your X2 theme.

Found the file that you were looking for.

If you go to the "Script" file, you should see 00 MusicGroupTranslate.lua. It should allow you to change the translation

How do i make the song genre thing work?, Sorry im quite new to this.

That's right, you can change this script to change the translation of group name.


You can sort the songs by genre catalog in SELECT MUSIC, all you have to do is to determine a genre for each song, just add a line or replace the line "#GENRE:".

For example, a BeatStream' genre song, it's .sm file or .ssc file will have "#GENRE:BeatStream;". This genre is not in the pool list, see the first page. You must add an extension genre to show the genre picture in SELECT MUSIC. Please also see the first page to know how.

Oh okay, i thought there was a way to get every single pack for each DDR game with the genre already in the song.

Do you have the files for these genre jackets? They don't appear to be in the theme. Or just more genre jackets in general?
