So after taking some inspiration from some SEGA communities for discovering some Sonic/JSR samples, I thought to search for samples used in BEMANI tracks. If you guys know of any, post the titles of Sample CDs you've found Konami artists have used. Reeeeaaally wanna start a thread for this now since it seems a lot of these Sample CDs are being phased out of the market completely and a lot of pirate links are even dead.

And do you guys think I should post the specific samples? Is that allowed? Haha. If I can find the unavailable titles, I'd love to post them, but I dunno how much that's fit into severe pirating territory or not. (but yo if any of you can find the first voice spectral PM me. ;U)

There's a lot of samples that I recognize from the Techno Trance Essentials CD. L.E.D. and Ryu☆ in particular seem fond of the sounds in this one!

Hella rad! Thanks for adding on to these. I haven't kept up with a lot of the current Bemani music, so I'm really only helpfull when it comes to the old stuff....

Anyway, I got a hold of like 3 more sample packs and found a few things in there. I also like... recognize a few samples but I can't think of which songs they're from so I'll get back to those I guess.

Just last night, I discovered the origin of the vocal samples used by Q-Mex in "Nataradin":

They hail from the Bombay Sisters' recording of a very old Indian hymn known as "Dhim tananana", which is often called "Thillana Hindolam" after the rhythm it uses.

Though on YouTube I couldn't find the Bombay Sisters' specific rendition of "Dhim tananana", I could find several others, including this one:


I also found this one which sounds a bit more like Nataradin:


The lyrics start with just scatting, then starting at "nidu mahimale...", they begin to talk about a Hindu goddess and basically are just in praise of this goddess Happy

I mean I could see that being the first use of it in a song, but that wouldn't make sense if it was taken from it seeing as the sample on the CD has no remnant of music interference. Big name sample CDs are what breathed life into old house music.

I'd love to know where the "Yeah", "Let's get moving" and "Let me feel the ground shake" samples used in the old Pop'n openings are from. I've been looking for ages and haven't found anything except a song that used one of the samples.

I forgot where it came from but I have the DROP OUT "br-br-br-br-br-brown-brown" sample. I found it on a YouTube video.
Also, I was wondering if anyone had the samples from "A Stupid Barber" on hand? I can't find any Voice Spectral 2 Samples anywhere...

The SUPER MANIAC results music in Dancing Stage featuring TRUE KiSS DESTiNATiON has the SAME scratching noises heard in CELEBRATE NITE. They probably come from the same sample if I'm going by intuition.

Made an account to post some discoveries myself! Recently obtained a few sample CDs, here's what I got:

Some drum loops for the original PARANOiA can be found in the sample CD "break beats" (if anybody knows a more accurate name, please let me know!!), Extreme Sample Converter upchucked the WAV as "15 LOOP 04."

Make A Jam's ragga vocals are from "Best Service Hallelujah," same conversion program named the WAVs "A-PHRASE16," "A-PHRASE18," "B-PHRASE01," "B-PHRASE09/B-PHRASE10," "B-PHRASE16," "B-PHRASE17," "B-PHRASE18," "C-PHRASE05," "G-PHRASE03," "G-PHRASE11" (Phew, that's a lot, hopefully I didn't miss one!)

Finally, the "Move your body!" samples from e-motion are from Zero-G "Dance Vocals" in the Eliza Emery folder.
