Nothing to do with combo, just the way the judgement is calculated from the inputs apparently.
Furthermore, it seems like they've adjusted the screen and input timings for each different type of cabinet too.

The only timed event in DDR was NewGenStarFest, and that was simply for the character skins. Nothing has expired.

According to OMG KON (Mark Hansen) via Facebook, the current DDR A update is pretty major, since machine settings were reset completely and that there's possibly more than just Rinon's Adventure 3.
Guess we'll just have to see what's going on.

Considering DDR A's been running for a while, I'm calling that major update something like DDR A* or something, akin to DDR 2014 was to 2013. Wishful thinking maybe...

Why is having song titles in English that important?Also thought about it, and if there is no new Extra Exclusive, that might mean Rinon 3 will unlock Ishtar, Out of Focus, and a brand new song instead. I highly doubt they would just let Neutrino and Cosy Catastrophe be unlocked right now and leave Extra Stage to have absolutely no purpose whatsoever. It seems to hint at a new song at least, or something major for sure. There is a dark Rinon in the graphic.

I have high hopes about this: I believe this will work almost the same as they did with BOSS ON PARADE and RDI (the last song unlocked opens a new boss event). If not, well ... maybe the big update will be some songs for Extra savior, so i will wait patiently
