In true Rumble spirit, the title wasn't up for grabs, the winner of the Rumble faces Highflyer for the belt at Wrestlemania. Or ElimChamber if you can't wait that long.

I'm guessing the Rumble sucked again this year? Was it as bad as 2014 or 2015? The one which was overbooked/overscripted (nostalgia wrestler enters, gains cheap heat pop for showing up, gets eliminated after some time, then on to the "next segment" of the Rumble).

The last Rumble I have watched is still 2013. I didn't even have the heart to watch the next ones after that.

TNA or Impact Wrestling I should say, needs a complete redesign. It's now more stable financially than it was last year, is under new ownership, and even has a new bizaare/hideous owl logo. Even with the under the hood improvements, it just feels like watching a 2016 episode except there's no Dixie Carter or Billy Corgan (in effect, no GMs), Madison Rayne is a commentator for Knockouts matches and is a booker behind the scenes, and GAILKIMISKOCHAMPLOL is over due to an "injury" and she's promoting Jade (aka Mia Yim) as her successor.

It wasn't AS bad as 2014/2015, but it'd be pretty hard to be. It was pretty bad.

It was...there, I guess. Rest of the show was pretty good, the Rumble was just lacking considering the things they COULD have done.

Royal Rumble 2017 wasn't so bad, honestly. The WWE Championship match was amazing between Cena and Styles. Charlotte actually impressed me for once on the Women's Championship Match.

However, in the Royal Rumble Match itself, there were absolutely no returns there. I mean, Mark Henry was a return but that was nothing. Also, the 3 guys who were most hyped for this match (Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Undertaker) all lasted a combination of 10 minutes. We expected a big return at #30 from the likes of Samoa Joe or Finn Balor or even Kurt Angle, but instead we get Roman Reigns (a man we didn't think would enter the rumble) as #30, and if someone had anymore passion for that Royal Rumble match, it was killed off. Thankfully, Randy Orton ended up winning the match.

The Royal Rumble this year wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be...BUT there are some problems in which it couldn't close to any of the better Rumbles from back in the day.

The match itself had some good chaotic moments specifically with Brock Lesnar and Goldberg however there were some major opportunists that were missed at the Rumble that bugged the crap out of me. For example...

1. Not one return....not one...

2. The NXT roster is probably one of the better rosters around mainly being a mix of former ROH, TNA and indie talent...This would have been a great way to debut them...yet not one got a major debut...For crying out loud Samoa Joe would have been amazing in the rumble. Especially if they had him come out and face Lesnar a huge mistake on their part.

3. Never had I been more disappointed with the number 30 entrant in match...Roman Reigns....really? The fans already hate him why keep pushing him down our throats? It was unnecessary and didn't add much to the match. Personally I don't think he's a bad wrestler as he has had some great matches...but his promos and lack of charisma distract from that. He's the type of guy that would work better if he had a mouth piece and didn't say anything.

I don't think he needs a mouth piece. When he was over with The Shield, he hardly spoke but would just kick people's asses. He was great at someone who let his fist do the talking.

Things went south when they tried to make him John Cena 2.0. It reminds me of Lex Luger back in the mid 90s and how WWE tried to make him Hogan 2.0, even when Bret Hart was WAY more over at that time.

I like Roman as well, but he's not The Guy.

Elimination Chamber has Apollo Crews and Kalisto vs. Dolph Ziggler as a match. Is this the biggest pissbreak in the history of pissbreaks?

A 2-on-1 handicap match?! they're booking a guy like Dolph Ziggler to be a monster heel? Dolph might be the new Chuck Norris lmfao

But yeah... I'm looking at the Match card, and it looks pretty stacked, as there's an Elimination Chamber Match, there's 3 Women's Division Matches, and a Tag Team Turmoil Match (though it should've been a Tag Team Elimination Chamber Match). I honestly hope the Ascension finally wins the Tag Team Championship. I hope John Cena loses the Elimination Chamber Match, because John Cena vs. Randy Orton is the last Match I'd wanna see at the /main event/ of Wrestlemania. The guys I'd want Cena to lose the belt to would either be Baron Corbin or AJ Styles. As for Apollo Crews and Kalisto, they both deserve better honestly. Apollo Crews is starting to develop himself more and more and he's an absolutely talented wrestler. He should Main Event or ATLEAST fight for one of the world championships at Wrestlemania 34, assuming he doesn't make it that far in this year's Wrestlemania.

Also inb4 Eva Marie returns and has a big feud at this year's wrestlemania and has a completely dope entrance (possibly best entrance of the night) and I end up liking her for some reason....

That's a solid point. He's got a little bit of the Goldberg complex to him...just let him be a bad ass and have that be that. You're right though he's missing that "it" factor that guys like Lesnar have.
