So here's the story in Orlando:

D&B Orlando is open. DDR A20 is mandated down. It is currently in Service Mode.

One of the employees recognized me and sought to talk to me. He said D&B decided not to operate DDR A20 during phase one of opening.

He did state that they were dumbfounded, as (at least in Orlando) it is one of their highest revenue earners.

They are looking for an opportunity to bring it back online during phase two re-opening. What they're going to try to do is get it its own space separate from the other games. My own thought is they may put it in a party room; it's the only kind of separate room I can think of at the site.

So we're gonna have to wait a little bit longer to get the newest DDR back here.

What's going on at the other sites?

Do you know if it was a corporate mandated decision or just upper management at the Orlando store? I did hear that there's another DnB's in Florida (don't know which one offhand) that's running Pump with no real restrictions. Like, I'm perfectly okay waiting a few more months to play. I'm in absolutely no rush. I just want to know what to expect.

Yeah, whatever was said about the Orlando cab is completely false. There's no room to move it, and it is nowhere near the highest revenue.

They won't move the machine to a party room nor anywhere else with a lot of space. It's not a profitable machine (which is why it's shoved into a corner and had a price increase) and they absolutely do not want to cater to the DDR players more than anyone else.

I don't blame them.

Also as stated with Jacksonville, it'll be offline when it is up, which would lead to more people asking to put it online. They don't need to be dealing with that.

DDR A20 PLUS is back up at D&B Orlando. It's fully updated and online. So if Jax is still intended to get a DDR machine, perhaps it will be online as well if they get the equipment for it. I remember they installed a special router when they originally installed DDR A in Orlando.

Everytime I’ve been to play DDRA at that DnB it’s always had a line that’s too long for its own good. I’m happy to see it popular but I’m about 2 hours away from it so it’s not worth me going.

Just recently learned that there was a Florida thread so here I am.

My name is Matthew and I'm from Jacksonville. The main Arcade that I visit is called "Leaderboard" but I also frequent "Video Game Rescue" and while Leaderboard opening up and taken most of my Arcade time, I do still go to my local Bowl America for some Fast n Furious on occasion.

I've started making Stepfiles again thanks to the DDR machine at Leaderboard being a Stepmania machine with some users being able to add songs(I've only got a few done so far but feel free to give them a try)

I need to visit the one in Gainesville some time just to scope it out. I've been to the Jax D&B before, but prior to it having DDR.

And Dezerland is open now. Its arcade has FOUR PIU machines: XX, NX Absolute, Prime 2, and the kiddie version, Jump. Prime isn't working right now. Honestly, the arcade is a little scuffed, just like Artegon and Festival Bay before were.

Good to see places in Florida still having good machines! By me both arcades are terrible and the DNB in Fort Myers only had PIU. There’s a new arcade in Sarasota I want to try that I believe has DDR but I’m not sure.
