No, I'm not asking for any official purpose, I just would like to start a formal debate over how SN2 arcade is. Judging what we've seen so far, we're pretty close to have seen all of SN2's features.
So what do you guys think? About the songs? Step charts? Lisences? Addition of Marvelous to normal play? E-Amuse? Let me remind you guys of the full songlist:

Jam Jam Reggae
Jam Jam Reggae (AMD Swing Mix)
Ska a go go
(About 68 new songs, I probably miscounted though)
Personally, I think this is a great mix, arcade-wise. The stepcharts were great, excluding the large amount of tough challenge charts that seem ridiculous (although I believe that those challenge charts were created with perfect attackers in mind, for more challenge over E-Amuse). The licenses were good although the nice dancemania originals were taken out. Switch and Stealth are my favorites! The crossovers were also well chosen- all of the SN1 crossovers were replaced by excellent new Konami originals and good licenses, except a few good ones that I believe will be worth the wait. The addition of marvelous timing is another one of Konami's good decisions, making scoring more competitive among players. I bet it'll take much longer to AAA full Marvelous combo some of these songs! Anyways, what do you think?
Please don't turn this into a huge argument about the delayed release date for the US here. I've heard it enough. I know we're not getting it for a while and it's annoying, but it could be for the E-Amuse production for US-based arcade machines. All we know is we ARE getting SN2, but how long we wait is based on Konami's decisions.

"On ZiV I'm like Princess Diana" |
I'll really need to break this one up.
INTERFACE
I love it, it's hands-down the BEST interface of any DDR game IMO. It really reminds me of some of the IIDX interfaces. There are also various improvements made from SN1, most noteable for me, the ugly sounding noise when switching songs. It sounded like someone was swinging a heavy metal door open or something. SN2 has a very simple sound for song switching, which keeps the futuristic feel of SN2. The color changing background of the song wheel is pretty cool as well.
GAMEPLAY.
Good:
I really like that the song title/artist shows up during play. It's a nice feature that serves multiple purposes, from revealing songs in screenshots, to keeping annoying kids from asking what song you're playing. I also like that a lot of DDR-Exclusive videos were made, it really makes you feel like Konami still cares about DDR.
Adding Marvelous was another great thing for Konami to do, and although controversial, I really like the new AAA scoring. It helps those of us that get annoyed with getting 1 great, and being slapped with a AA. They were also smart enough to add AAA PFC, to assure that there will still be a special grade for people who get Perfect Full Combo's
. The new characters/outfits look great, and it really feels like you have a diverse choice of characters to use. The character cut-ins are a nice looking, and don't interfere with gameplay. New mods are REALLY cool. We can FINALLY use Brake, Wave, 0.5x, and 0.25x, among others.
E-Amuse FINALLY being brought worldwide is truly awesome. This may finally help some of the American arcades come out of the stone age, and get us more on Japan's level. I also like that e-Amuse is now an intricate part of SuperNOVA2.
Bad:
I really hate the new ES/EES system. I don't want to play Unreal everytime I want to get the Extra stage. I really don't care that you can get the ES on any difficulty, I just find having to play a certain song to get the ES annoying. Another bad thing: no new stages were added. It's cool that we got new dancers and all, but when there are no new stages for them to dance on, it just feels a little hollow to me. Although a lot of the new mods are cool, they aren't nearly as useful as 2.5x or 4x.
MUSIC/STEPCHARTS:
Licenses:
The small number of Dancemania songs really disappoints me. I am happy by most of the licenses however. The Konami covers are AWESOME (Save for Faint), and the other stuff we got, like Angelus and switch, are freaking amazing.
The stepcharts are kind of hit-and-miss for these songs however. Ain't no Mounrain High Enough has weird gaps throughout the song, Faint and Sunrise are both pretty boring. But then you have AWESOME stepcharts like Angelus, Two Months Off, Me Against The Muisc, and Trust.
Even though it's lacking, I really like the license list.
Konami Originals:
This is really where the game shines, which is odd for a DDR game. Instead of getting our usually people: Naoki, BeForU, jun etc. we got a plethora of songs from other bemani artists. dj Taka, D-Crew, Des-ROW, Tomosuke, DJ Yoshitaka, and Tatsh all deliver original songs for this mix. Alongside them, a plethora of new artists: Darwin, Fracus, and Alison Wade, among others, who are well-known hardcore artists. This mixture makes for a perfect diversity of songs for SN2.
The stepcharts for the KOs lean toward the good side, but there are some bad ones. Shades of Gray and dream of love are notably bad. The rest of the charts are pretty good IMO.
BEMANI Crossovers:
Konami really chose a great line-up of crossovers this mix. Instead of giving us songs that have been stepped 100 times, or songs that are whored out way too much on their respective game, they gave us a nice choice of newer songs that have yet to grow old.
The stepcharts are really great for the crossovers. Fire, Blind Justice, CaptiVate ~Chikai~, The votum stellarum remix, and Stars all have GREAT stepcharts. The only bad chart that comes to mind is Raspberry Heart (English Version).
Boss Songs:
Unreal: Just a bad song, and a bad stepchart. Gets a plus for video though.
NGO: A cool rock techno song. The expert is fun, but the oni is absolute trash.
Trip Machine Phoenix: Just a great song all around. Doesn't rely on gimmicks to be hard, and both the expert and oni provide a nice challenge.
PARANOiA ~HADES~: Probably my favorite PARANOiA remix thus far. The standard chart is super fun, the expert is challenging, and the oni is the new PSMO. In other words: I can't pass it. It's not stupid like NGO oni or FELM oni though.
GROOVE RADAR SONGS:
Ugh. Thats all I can say about these. The only good thing about them is, there are pre-existing good charts to play of these songs.
Overall, I'm really excited to play SuperNOVA2. The game is a big step up from SuperNOVA1, and shows that Konami has listened to their players, if only a little.
As of now, I give it a 9/10. This is subject to change obviously, since we've yet to see a few of the songs/stepcharts.

That may soon turn out to be a 10/10, because we haven't seen the other planet songs yet. I also think everything "looks" nicer and more bright and colorful than SN1. It gives off a more "happy" vibe, much like the Mario Party games, only without the childish stupidity. The only issue I have with SN2 is that loading times are LONGER than SN1. Shouldn't we be getting the same or faster loading time? In this area, it's actually a down-grade. How can there be MORE loading time? It's not like they've put the PS2 to its limit [yet].

I havn't played it. (I wish. But only place I know has it is Arcade Infinity @ California... I hope.) But from your overal reviews, I will say it's a promising game. (+ for Blind Justice, and wanted to try Venus. AKA the song with video of rock'n bishonens. ^^; ALSO for the other Pop'n Music songs... Mars Wars 3, Voltum Stellarum (Forest #25 Remix, right?), and so on.)
Soo.... Have my A+ for this game. :3

Also, why would they take out those 7 songs? Were people not playing them that much or something? The only thing I would've liked them to keep was 20, November. That song is an original classic for DDR.

I think they were the least played on E-Amuse. Though they were classics, they're NEVER played in my arcade. Though, I adore Dr. Love.

no. that was never confirmed, i dont even think it was a rumor. i heard rumors of a new fascination, but that was also never confirmed(and also just people being stupid and wanting a remix of a crappy song). we got a new paranoia and a new trip machine, no new max.

I'm waiting to see if they can make it up to 350 songs. They're only at 347 including all of the planet songs. *Just 3 more songs* It would be great if they could make it up to 400 in the next DDR for the arcade. They may have to add an extra hard drive to save data, because of so much info.

Another hard drive? Hardly. If my math is right, the songlist on SN2 would make the arcade version roughly 6-7GB in size, Another 50 songs would probably add another gig of size, still not even approaching the full capacity of a DVD-9, let alone the size of hard drive that one could attach to a PS2 (as, from what I have heard, each PS2-using DDR game has its own hard drive).

"Let's get this movin'" |
for me...
OPENING VIDEO:
From what version the video is absent? Since DDR 4th. Mix
I've missing the videos... sniff... cool memories.
MENU:
really amazing for 1 year of work. Much better than DDRSN menu. (I Hate the moves, like a old door open)
SELECT MODE:
More easy for easiest players.
MUSIC:
Overall: Pretty good music
LICENCES: less Dancemania songs and more ROCK!. Amazing. sincerely I prefer Dancemania licences. (only 2 in this game)
KONAMI ORIGINAL NEW: The best jukebox so far is here. I love shades of Grey (Donna Rulez!). More stuff and cool stuff...
FROM BEMANI: I haven't notice from those amazing songs. I've played FIRE in GF/DM 1st and looks really cool. For me, Raspberry Heart takes the best.
PLANET SONGS: The entire solar system in a videogame! Such wonderful!.
RED SONGS:
Unreal: A rock-style song with a lot of Air, Worst air so far. (Worst than Waka Laka)
NGO: I love the ending of this song. Pretty cool and kinda hard.
Trip Machine PhoeniX: This remix remembers the menu music in 1st. Mix. Wonderful challenge.
PARANOiA (HADES): Best and Hardest PARANOiA so far.
GROOVE RADAR SPECIAL SONGS:
Kinda hard challenges for me!. All the songs are stamina-drainer, Even Dynamite Rave "Air". Bored jumps and a lot of calories burned!
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
workout: pretty cool. workout comes out of the shell.
Enjoy Lv.: Over Lv.100!!, supposedly the best in all RPG games.
e-AMUSEMENT system: I'm very happy with this world-wide expansion of the system.
CHARACTERS:
I LOVE YOU, YUNI 'n ALICE!!! (Emi looks very pretty, as always. I love her too.)
Overall:
9.5 / 10: no older songs? Who needs it!

Why do people say that is the best Paranoia? I think the best Paranoia is Survivor (NO NOT SURVIVOR MAX) because it has a good beat, along with a good background video.

Musicwise...
Paranoia Hades - is alright but not the best remix I've heard; probably because of the little reminiscence to the original Paranoia. There is none of that robotic twitchy sounds that were in the original Paranoia and the woman who was in Paranoia was completly left out. It kinda sounds like a whole new song. IMHO, Paranoia Rebirth was really a great remix. But don't get me wrong, Paranoia Hades is pretty good too.
Trip Machine Phoenix - outstanding remix, doesn't branch too far from the original which is a good thing.
Malacca
SOUL CRASH
Music in the Rhythm - very good (and so is the artist behind all his songs)
Two Months Off - Like the original, liked this remake
All Planet songs - havent heard Pluto/ Pluto Relinquished but others are really spectacular except for STARS (sorry TЁЯRA)
Silver Platform
Baby Tears (Sky Girls Opening Theme) -
Rasberry Heart
A thing called LOVE- I love these types of cute, bubble-gum pop songs
Why not - blew me away, reminded me of back-in-the-day DDR with those Dancemania SPEED era
Vem brincar - i love house/alternative house in general so this was easy to fall in love with
volcano - very good song and fun stepcharts
FAINT - pretty good and easy to listen to lyrics for the first time
Reminder - Just an opinion

SuperNOVA 2 imo is the best release ever. The arcade songlist is kick-ass, and i'm loving the new layout.
So far i like
CaptivAte ~CHIKAI~: This is by far, my most favorite DDR song ever (for both steps and music). I'm in love with the CaptivAte series, and the steps are fun and challenging looking.
My Favorite Things - I thought the actual song sucked, but this cover is awesome! The steps are really interesting and i love how it's all techno sounding
Why Not, - I was shut down when this didn't appear on the US version of SuperNOVA 2. This is a good song, and the steps remind me of my other favorite song (HONEY PUNCH)
SUNKiSS DROP (~ALISON SIDE~) - I think Alison Wade is one of my new favorite singers. This song is great! I really like all jun songs (Well...except for "Raspberry Heart (English Version) but that's Paula Terry's fault) I just wanna get up and dance whenever i hear this song.
Music In The Rhythm - Good steps+ good song= two thumbs up
Unreal - I feel like the only one that likes this song. The steps suck though, mostly because they're impossible for me. But i was rather amused that KONAMI decided to have a rock song as an extra stage.
NGO - I actually enjoy bizarre songs like this. The oni steps suck, but i enjoy the heavy steps!
PARANOiA (HADES) - Good Good Good Good Good Boss song. My favorite out of the PARANOiA series. It has an evil feel to it, and the steps are cool! I kind of thought the slow down was lame though...

Truthfully, I got the CS style and a lot of the songs on it are some of the new stuff on the AC style. So I like some of the songs, but some of them are much harder than I thought. And after listening to some of the songs, I didn't think they could top Trip Machine Survivor.

I’ve not played the CS or the AC version. But what I’ve seen, here’s what I have to say:
Song wise this is one of the better DDR mixes. But besides maybe 5-10 songs, the charts just flat out suck. The theme is vary nice, but I think it’s going to get boring real quick like the SN1 theme. The song difficult as they are listed might be the biggest problem. With SAKURA and Xepher now 9 footers and Paranoia (HADES) heavy also a 9 footer (Hell the standard steps are a worthy 10). it’s looking like that a song has to have some stupid gimmick or be BS hard. The Challengers on the boss song are not even necessary. And adding the Marvelous timing. It just seems like DDR is trying to be ITG and it’s falling at it.
I know that’s a lot to say with out even playing it, so I’ll play it then I might change my opinion.;)
