From what i can see, it looks like a 3 button version of Pop'n music, but it could be a new game all together. Any thoughts?

The BISHI BASHI games are a minigames' series of games. The only BEMANI related game could be Bishi Bashi Special 3/Step Champ (IIRC), that let you use the DDR mat (and it has a sub-game based on DDR).
You can see that this new Bishi Bashi game is not under the BEMANI division of games looking at the URL.

This game have many versions since long long time ago.
It is full of mini games, players compete and the one with the least score will have his live reduced by 1.
In some versions , some of the games are based on Bemani games.

In Kelapa Gading Mall near my house, there's also a bishi bashi hyper. I love playing that arcade whenever feeling bad mood.

I've never played BISHI BASHI, but it looked pretty cool from the youtube videos I've seen. In the Step Champ minigame, there were some naoki songs I saw that weren't on DDR (DISCO, 50's and Chaos Clutch), which is prolly why I was so interested.

Bishi Bashi is so goddamn good. The PS1 game is so much fun. It's a shame I lost it though.

My local gamecentre such as TimeZone and Mr.Token have this game.
