Half the internet just crashed to the ground today. Apparently Cloudflare is down and because of this stuff like Discord is down too..
Does CloudFlare actually offer cached pages? I always get confused when I get stuck on those landing pages.

For the past year my life has been nothing but a train wreck. I have struggled with personal issues for a long time. Today I make the announcement that I am retiring from playing DDR and all video games in general. I’m sorry but this is a decision that I had struggled to make for the past year. It was a fun ride while it lasted. On November 4th I will broadcast live for an unknown topic. Once again, I’m sorry that I have failed you all!
...you want to at least explain how it's been a trainwreck? ._.

I'm sure people around here would love to help with whatever it is you're feeling right now, but people can't really help you if you're not straightforward about what the problem actually is.

You know what, since I'm here, I want a network expert to answer my questions.
Scenario: I am using my laptop in my home, two or three other people are playing an MMO on their phones, also on the same home and network as my laptop. If I start a video, their performance drops noticeably, I start a download (whether file or torrent download), their performance drops noticeably.
So here's my approach for compromise: I shut off the video, and I would first choose to throttle my downloads as a compromise. AND THEN I GET GRILLED IN THE HEAD FOR STILL HAVING THOSE OPEN. Because their performance still lags.
So, my questions are then:
1. Does having the video page open but paused still consume bandwidth? People are pre-disposed to force me to close ANY AND ALL YOUTUBE tabs when they check my screen.
2. How is my download manager being forced to download at 20.0 KB/s still debilitating to them, or any threshold limit I place.
3. If a torrent is active but not currently downloading (seeders not online on an old/niche torrent) does it suck up any bandwidth? They tell me I "download" to many things at once, but some of them are queuing, some are throttled otherwise they'll go 1MB/s, and some are idle. And they'll still say that even if only the no seeders ones are all I have on the list and the torrent program is reporting a DL speed of 0.00 KB/s.
4. Do phones really not consume as much bandwidth for streaming? They clearly have no problem with me binge-watching on my 18:9 6 inch phone as they play.
I tell my supposed reasons, but they always shrug it off. I've been wanting to get this off my chest and I hope someone can shed some light on this.

So in college I took a hiatus from DDR, I picked it back up recently after DDR A and A20.
In march I was trying 12s and 13s and now I'm starting to break into the 15s! This difficulty curve has been significantly flattened and I am hella glad. My goal is to have at least 50 15s passed by year's end.

I'm not an expert on this kind of thing but I'm trying to answer this based on my knowledges and some extensive google searching.
1. AFAIK No it doesn't. Except if there's some kind of background activity that YouTube does (probably notifications monitor but I doubt it's consuming much). Bandwidths generally only used when there's data transfer happening so if nothing is transfering something then bandwidths aren't used.
2. Maybe the game's server location that they play are far (e.g. they play from Asia and the server is on US/Canada). The farther the server is, the more bandwidth they need for optimal gameplay (because they need to send requests and receive the responses from the server, and this is a constant activity in Online Games; Think of it like a Sonar). That's why some games have different servers for different regions. But I doubt singular 20KB/s affected the ping significantly.
3. Yes, they uses bandwidth. But generally 1-2KB/s (or somewhere like that) to check the torrent if there's a device that can respond to the request. Same goes with seeding torrents that currently have no requests. That's for individual torrents. If there's multiple of them, then it's using more.
4. Uh, No (?) Usually bandwidths are shared across devices equally since they streamed the same exact content.
Hope this helps.

I just drank a shitload of pre-workout and danced for 40 minutes non-stop.
Nuclear fusion is taking place in every organ of my body.
I tried taking a cold shower but all the water turned into plasma. Help.
Are we talking ITG 15s or DDR X 15s? I still haven't taken to the "new" rating system, despite it apparently being the norm now.

Thanks for the insight, CLOUDIO. At the time, they played MLBB (but we REALLY don't call it that. Also the Bang Bang thing is very CRINGY), dunno what server tho.

I wish I could do this at home, but there are some difficulties at home, shall we say, stopping me from simply getting it done. I am THIS CLOSE to just renting out a love hotel room so I have an empty room to work out in. I really really could've used the workout during the lockdown here.

The lockdown is part of what inspired me to buy a higher-end USB dance pad in the first place. Earlier on in the year I bought an Oculus Rift. I had some fun playing Beatsaber, but the whole time I was thinking "This isn't as fun as DDR."

Been feeling kinda down lately. Feeling my health taking a massive hit. I remember at around this time a few years ago, I was almost under 200 lbs. Now I think I'm approaching 300. I know it's expressly my fault, but it still sucks. Maybe someday I'll get out of this wackness.
Also been slowly coming down with a cold. Probably something worse but the symptoms aren't all in just yet. Hopefully it's not COVID. If it is, then I'll try to ride it out as best I can.
Basically, I've been a mess lately and I don't really have anyone to go to these days because I've burned a lot of bridges and made a lot of mistakes. It's hard to not dwell on the past. I just hope I don't backslide any further.
I don't normally like posting "seriously" on Zenius, but idk I felt like getting this off my chest.

Just about half an hour ago, I was sipping on my coffee when I realized there is a dead centipede inside the cup. The weird thing is that when I made it, there's none of it in the cup and I just straight putting it inside the refrigerator so there's virtually no chance of one getting inside the cup. I'm glad I didn't drank it in one go.

Tremendous loss. The man who played Black Panther in the MCU was killed by colon cancer at 43 years old.

I had another dream last night where I found a DDR cabinet somewhere but woke up before I could play it. I hate those dreams, and I get them all the time!

I've not really been keeping up tabs with WWE's current product, but apparently with their Thunderdome project (emulating other current sports broadcasts by having screens of viewers as the audience), someone showed off pictures of Benoit, members of the KKK, and footage of an ISIS beheading. All you needed to do to join the audience was give your name and email. How did the WWE not think things through?

WWE is not really good at the think things through thing.Post #33278 · Posted at 2020-09-07 11:20:16pm 3.6 years ago
Ladies and gentlemen, I have successfully shat out the worst mashup of Bemani songs in the history of ever!
