I think I'm getting into Degrassi TNG.
Sometimes, you just... go for it.

TRIGGER WARNING: Today marks the first time I suffered direct verbal harassment on my way home today from someone who had too many drinks.
Okay, so just 40 minutes before I started writing this post, I was on a bus on my way home and encountered a drunken man.
When I entered the crowded bus and I grabbed on to one of the stanchions, I felt someone touch my hand with a finger. I turned to my left and saw a man, perhaps about 30 years of age. He quietly whispered "sorry". I smiled back, acknowledging his apology before facing away. A minute later, he touched my hand again and did the same thing. I smiled and grabbed another stanchion.
5 minutes later, a lot of people got off the bus, that I was able to find a seat for myself on the left side of the bus. About 30 seconds later, the man got up from his seat and took a seat closer to me (but on the right side). I stared out the window as the bus started moving again, and I saw his reflection looking and waving at me. I pretended not to notice, but I took note that there was clearly something going on. So I stayed on guard in case anything bad would happen.
Once the lady in front of me left the bus, the man took the empty seat in front of me, turning his head towards me. I was a bit scared of what he wanted with me, but I composed myself and looked at him, whimpering a soft "hello". The awkward conversation then began, and we were heard throughout the bus.
Him: "You like barbecue? Bar-bee-cue?"
Me: "Uhh, sorry?"
Him: "I asked if you like barbecue parties. I'm going to one right now, and I want to ask if you wish to come with me."
Me: "Why?"
Him: "Well, don't you love barbecues? We could have some chicken together, then drink some wine..."
*At this point, I could already smell the alcohol in his breath. He definitely had a lot of drinks."
Me: "Thank you, but I'm not interested. I'm busy and need to do stuff at home."
Him: "Oh, come on! What are you gonna do? Play video games and shit? Don't you ever party and have fun every now and then?"
Me: "If I wanted to go to a public party today, wouldn't I already have planned for it?"
Him: "See, it's not a public event. It's a private event. My friends are going to pick us up, and we're gonna go to someone's house and have fun!"
Me: "No thanks. I'm not persuaded."
Him: "You're gonna be fine! I promise, it's a safe event."
Me: "Besides, I don't even have an invitation. If I was invited, I would have received some flyer or card or something introducing me to this event. So I shouldn't just go barge in."
Him: "But I'm the invitation!"
Me: "I'm sorry, but I'm not buying it."
Him: "Not buying what?"
Me: "That you can just invite random people to some gathering like that. I mean, do you even know me?"
Him: "No, I don't, but- wait, what am I saying? I know you, and I know what's going on inside, and I think you'd have a great time! You won't have regrets and shit!"
*The man goes up to the driver and asks where he needs to get off. The driver tells him his stop is two stops ahead, and I tell him that it's true. He returns in front of me.
Me: "Well, with all due respect, I kindly turn down your offer."
Him: "No, you can't just turn me down! I want you there with me."
Me: "What you're giving me isn't an invitation. In fact, it's harassment."
Him: "What?! What dumb fuck told you that? How is this harassment? I'm just saying that I feel like you'd be a great addition to the party I'm headed to."
Me: "It's not inviting when someone forces someone out of their will to do something with them or for them. I believe I'm old enough to make my decisions, and my decision is not to attend your party. I hope you have a good time, though."
Him: "No, you're not old enough to make your own decisions! And how am I even forcing you? I'm just suggesting-"
Me: "Oh, you just missed your stop."
*I request the next stop for him.
Him: "Bullshit!"
*The driver pulls over.
Him: "Wait, I didn't press nothin'!"
Me: "The stop you wanted is back there."
The drunken man returns to the driver and asks where his stop is. The driver tells the man he missed his stop and has to walk back, and that I was probably the one who pushed the stop button on his behalf.
Him: "Wait... seriously?!"
Driver: "Yeah. It's all the way back there."
Him: "OH FUCK!"
The man gets off the bus.
So it turns out the driver heard everything and was glad everyone was safe. I told him that as much as my trip was unpleasant, I felt somewhat sorry for the guy for being drunk so early in the evening, since he could not even hold a decent conversation with someone. I guess right now, I'm just glad I am able to handle people like these and not get hurt or something.

Not only is that situation dangerous, especially when dealing with an intoxicated person, but it's also extremely awkward...
Glad to know you're alright.

I can't say I have; I've never encountered any modded DDR Extreme cabinets.
I find how this mod simply replaced the caution screen with just a "SLIPPERY WHEN WET" warning funny, though.

An arcade near me, at the Willow Brook Mall, actually had (has?) that mod on its EXTREME machine. Can't really say much else aboit it beyond "it was EXTREME but with an overclock function" (which i never used because i was like, 11).

I was just at the Willowbrook Mall a while ago, and I didn't see any DDR EXTREME there.

They've probably gotten rid of it by now then. This was like...shit, at least 7 or 8 years ago by now.

The only Extreme mod I've seen I think was called DDR MegaMix. It was a purple theme instead of green and the songs did not have background animations.

My favourite part about EXTREME PLUS is that overclocking is basically a machine suicide button.
