Figured while I wait for approval I may as well garner some opinions from those that are wanting to take a look at it. You can see the vid of Challenge being played: here. It really is more for keyboard on this difficulty, but if you look closely enough you can tell that it is, in fact, quite paddable if you're that skilled. Obviously, there are other ratings on this file (all told: Light - 4, Standard - 8, Heavy - 10, Challenge - 13) but I figured I may as well show off a bit. Tongue

For those who would like to skip that, didn't already click the image, or are just going 'tl;dr':

Link for it is here. For now, we're looking at a 'you need a BMS account to get it'. Hopefully, that gets changed soon, locally. For now, that'll have to do. :\

[tl;dr warning] extreme boredom caused this review:

SMANIAC/Oni:
The beginning of the chart was great. The arrow placement was right on, and the matched the notes in the song and the beat. That's good, cause it's overlooked most of the time. This continues up until the speed up to 200 BPM. Oh god, the pain! I can't imagine anyone doing that part on foot, maybe dukamok or someone like that. Anyways, after the horatio-like part and the quick stops, I like how you used the jumps with the music. Again, I think nobody could ever possibly do that on pad, but whatever. There is one down arrow at the .27 stop that would turn your body facing left, where it should be facing towards the right (if that makes sense), it would work better as an up arrow ^^

At the slowdown, I again appreciate the arrow placement, and the stops make it REALLY tricky. Reminds me of the original pluto. However, unless you're playing on oni, the stops seem totally pointless and confusing, though that's probably what you went for Tongue Once it speeds up to 220 BPM, the two .14 second stops are weird- I see what you went for but they still don't seem useful. I think breaks in the 8th arrows would be more effective. The rest of the chart is pretty well planned out, I only dislike the last stop- there's still a note that plays that would match the rest of the freeze arrows and it might work better if it wasn't used. One more thing- where are the crossovers, man? This looks like ITG where there aren't any turns or anything in there! It'll make the chart even tougher and more interesting if you throw some in, hell, that's the only reason exotic ethnic is tough Laughing Out Loud

Overall, awesome chart! It's really tough to expect the stops unless you know the song, and even so if you aren't on challenge. I ran through the other charts and I like the rhythms on the tricky chart especially during the first 220 part after the stops. Really cool. I'd say more, but I feel like I'm ranting on forever, whoops Puppy Face

Ah, thanks.

Much of the Oni was more suited for keyboard than much else, but I did make it to where it was trick-pad if you knew what you were doing.

...and the crossing mostly made its way out after you got through Oni, it seemed. :\ Most of the meat of the file exists in Oni as it is (since the hardest difficulty is the one most seem to play). The major thing to address was the original sync issues that came from the DDR original chart. Not to mention that I didn't think that 440BPM speedups were absolutely necessary. Didn't seem 'hardcore' enough. 200BPM 16th death-runs seemed far more intimidating. Tongue

But glad you liked it! Some of the stuff seemed a bit experimental that I played out in my head a few times and decided to leave it out of reasons of taste. The two pause parts towards the end of the file that you mentioned? Yep. Those would be taste things.

A nice little easter egg is on the 220BPM end on Light. They're all straight quarter notes...it's just set up to mess with a player otherwise. VERY tough to pull off on a chart like this as Light on the original could do no less than a 7...and a big challenge to pull off overall. Smile Tough chart to sync period, I'll admit. :\
