I'm in as well. I'm quite good at cutting music, and am pretty decent at syncing and all that. As for graphics, don't look to me for it .

Edit: Oh yeah, I can do lyric files too, in the offchance that you'd actually want those.

Ben Speirs didn't exactly describe how it works.

Do the six people in one team have to jointly-make a simfile?
Do the six people in one team present their best already-made simfile for an average rating?
Neither of the above? The only thing I'm good at (keyword: ONLY) is making steps that precisely follow beats and lyrics, with doable crossovers and short 16th streams. I can't sing, Photoshop, or synthesize worth crap.

Though, 6 people seems like a lot for just 1 simfile at a time. I dunno, it sounds like he doesn't have all the details worked out, so I guess we'll have to find out.

Ok, I looked through the thread a bit, and here's some ideas that he is throwing around.

1. Each team makes a simfile every round, and they are ranked by the judges from best to worst and are awarded points accordingly. At the end of the tournament, the team with the most points wins.

2. Each team member makes his or her own simfile and submits it. Simfiles are ranked and points are given to teams accordingly.

3. Each team member makes his or her own simfile and submits it. Judges decide which simfile was the weakest out of each group and that simfile artist is eliminated. Eventually teams are left with 1 each, and the last round decides the places and winner.

It looks like he's leaning toward #2, which is fine with me. Both #1 and #2 are good ideas, though #2 really doesn't require cooperation between the team members. #3 is the worst idea, because every round before the last round has no difference in who is going to win.

I like 2. We'd obviously coordinate between each other too. =p

CarmellDansen and Pluto Relinquish ~eternal love mix~ are my best two, but aren't really original songs, and are only a little above average at best. I'll pass on this simfile competition, and just watch and see how it turns out.

Where are you getting the impression that we have to make our own songs?

I pulled it out of my ass, because I posted that at 3:30 AM.

But those two sims are still only a little above average at best.

I'd like to try.

My best pieces would have to be Poseidon -Chaos Special-, my Fascination files or my Energizer FDE.

All I do is sit there and spam left arrows until I match the beat perfectly, then I rearrange them into something special. For anything large and difficult, I look to other stepcharts for inspiration. I've used streams from Pandemonium, MAX 300 (SMMM), PARANOiA Hades, and Pluto Relinquish. You usually can't find out where because I use them mirrored or in a place you won't notice.

I listen to a song several times to get an idea of what the steps will be like (and think of different patterns, because Doubles similar to Singles is a no-no DX).
