DDR gets my vote. Although the Follow and RT Campaign just happened, I think they are giving up at this point. America rarely gets new songs, because Konami keeps adding Vocaloid and anime songs, and those songs couldn't be licensed in America. It's sad to see DDR dying, but it gets my vote.
yes, ddr got like over a dozen songs in the span of a month but it's dying because a market that wasn't all that profitable to begin with still isn't really that profitablePost #22 · Posted at 2018-09-15 08:07:45pm 5.6 years ago
Hey, at least konami knows how to design good UIs and doesnt post half-baked screenshots of slightly modified base themes asking for someone to do their work for them.
In all seriousness, we will probably get another release of ddr soon or at least continue to get more content. Ddr A now gas almost 140 songs, which is more than any of the other mixes that lasted 2-3 years ever got

I like how DDR was supposed to have died like 3 or 4 times already within the last 2 years and yet it still has an active version that's constantly being updated with new songs other than a lull of nothing that lasted a few months
Hmmm
it really do be like that sometimes

That is true, but I swear if DDR got a 20th anniversary release that wasn't DANCERUSH, the series could have done much better.
Guess you missed the part where it's its own game and not "DDR's 20th anniversary game" and all the comparisons/callouts to DDR from Konami when it first came out was literally just typical marketing shit to get people to play it

Reflec Beat has kind of been languishing lately, especially on the current version.

REFLEC BEAT is dead. The Reflesia of Eternity is confirmed to be the last game.
DDR is definitely not dying yet, it's been getting a slew of new content for both Japanese and American releases.
Honestly I see pop'n getting axed, it really doesn't seem to have any more care being put into it by KONAMI as of late. The two new songs don't mean anything, DDR got two new songs recently and got a bunch more before.

DDR is like a cockroach. It's hard to kill, and even when you think it's dead it's still kicking somehow. I love it.
... I still think DDR is gonna get dropped like a rock next year as soon as they can brush the 20th anniversary under a rug, but I'm open to being pleasantly surprised. Is Dance Rush already not doing well for people to be putting it on the chopping block? 'Cause I was still thinking it was going to be how DDR dies. D:

I haven't been able to get to an arcade in a while, but I know every time I do I see Dance Rush getting some attention.

Though The Reflesia of Eternity is confirmed to be the last game in the series, REFLEC BEAT is still currently on "life support" as it gets a monthly update of reviving at least 10 songs from VOLZZA 2 and before...
Sigh, why would KONMAI ever do that to REFLEC BEAT anyway?

I blame KONMAI solely for killing the once most popular BEMANI series. Reflesia is such a terrible theme with the generic fantasy motif and the gameplay did not need to be changed. At this point I'm looking to see if such modded games for RB plus exist with all the songs from the original to VOLZZA 2 included because not even the mobile app is going to get any new songs anymore.

Pretty sure if it was up to Konami, they'd have axed EVERY BEMANI series aside from SOUND VOLTEX and maaaaaaybe IIDX by now.
GITADORA still gets updates, even with the endless unlock events and the ultra-scummy Deluxe mode adding to yet another thing locked away behind Konami's despicable PASELI grubbing in the series.
jubeat is doing okay...I guess? I am worried about Konami commissioning jackets now for the original songs, and focusing more and more on commission artists.
DDR going for long periods of time with no new releases is nothing new for the franchise, and it seems to be getting updates frequently again (though I still worry Konami will drop this game to barely being updated again after 2018 ends).
DANCERUSH STARDOM will probably linger for two years or so before Konami pulls the plug on it. I doubt it will ever get a proper sequel.
Nostalgia will likely be dead and off e-amuse this time next summer or by summer 2020. I'll be amazed if it lasts beyond 2020.
REFLEC BEAT is currently in the hospital, awaiting more grandchildren to come visit...er, 10 songs added to the game once every four weeks. Otherwise, the only "updates" it gets are more axed licenses.
So my vote goes to pop'n music, for pretty much all the reasons DMAxel said, while also adding that only 10 new songs have been made for the game since the beginning of the year and that Konami have been so desperate to get people to play UsaNeko, they've made all pre-UsaNeko songs available by default, and even made the OOPArts songs unlocked by default during the game's own lifespan. They haven't done the latter in the series since pop'n music 18!

I'm confused by this. Is it not up to Konami what gets cancelled?

Hard to tell at this point really, considering Konami basically divided into two sections recently, Konami Amusement and Konami Digital Entertainment, and have shuffled their in-house composers even between the two.
The pussyfooting Konami has been doing with pop'n music's 20th anniversary (oh joy, a song available for less than two weeks!) doesn't fill me with much confidence this series is going to last much longer. At least DDR got new songs not removed in two weeks and the cool retro skins and such.
