Was Scarlet Moon cut? Haven't seen anyone play it, haven't seen anyone upload a score of it, and couldn't find it when I was poking through the 2014 folder the other night.

I saw Scarlet Moon, pretty sure it's in the 2014 folder.

DDR A is now up and running at Nashville D&Bs. I asked about the eAmuse cards in person and I also got "a week and a half"

I'm just glad they finally got the machine in.

Nashville confirmed running; posting this from there right now. I guess the woman I talked to over the phone misunderstood what the tech said. Also, the volume is LOUD.

I hope it stays loud for when I come down to Nashville. Closest machine to me at 181 miles away.

I have only one question I have for anyone else who's played A: When you level up RINON to Extra Stage level 2 or 3, there's a cooldown period after 12 hours. When those 12 hours are up do you have to level up to 2/3 all over again, or is it permanent? (I hope the latter is the case, since you'd have to have a looot of stamina to do that all over again... X_X )
I think it resets back to Level 1 after 12 hours, seeing that once you hit Level 3 you are guaranteed to get to Extra Stage so you can unlock more songs, giving you more opportunities to get everything other than the Extra Exclusive songs.

Then again I live an hour away and my work schedule is pretty hectic as of late so I can't say for certain this is the case, but Konami being Konami, I wouldn't doubt they would revert you back to square one after 12 hours.
After the cooldown period, you are brought back to level 1.

You do not lose any stars towards Extra Stage though. If you were at level 3, you'll start with 9 stars on your first level 1 play the next day. It is like ending a round with 8 stars and moving onto the next round: it starts you with what you had on the final screen where it shows your DDR code and name.

If you are really aching for early stars, turning on Risky or Life4 will grant you 1 star point guaranteed, even if you failed a song with those enabled. Missing one note and finishing a song but getting a AA means you get two stars for that, and a third for those options being enabled, but it doesn't do anything if you were going to get three stars anyway (either by full combo or AAA).

You wouldn't get all of it.

See http://p.eagate.573.jp/game/ddr/ddra/p/howto/option_list.html which should be stickied or something

So now Rainbow arrow is selected by default? If so, very smart move. It should prevent timing confusion for those that don't know about the options.

I wonder how long it will be before the eAmuse pages get translated to English, and more importantly, if the paywall-blocked options will be free for us or they implement a similar monthly payment system. >>

I believe they are translated now if you either sign in with a US region KONAMI ID or perhaps not signed in at all.

Edit: Sorry, this is in reference to the DDR A gateway, not the eAmu gateway.

In this case, only have three stars per stage: one by clear on A or poor (except FAILED), other if have a FULL COMBO and the last star if plays with LIFE4 or RISKY. Aslo, in AA, the FULL COMBO star overwrites the hard (LIFE4 or RISKY) star, and on AAA, you have all three stars.

It isn't as of this post; the only thing translated in English are the "How To Play" pages. ^^;

(And to clarify, I am using a US Konami ID.)

Lol, I misread the post on fb and saw that it's the HOW TO PLAY sections that have been translated to English.. I use a Japan KONAMI ID but I've gotten pretty used to navigating around. Also have a basic course sub. But sorry about the confusion earlier. ^^

I might have worded it a bit wrong (was just trying to get it out there) but it's basically this:

-3 Stars MAX each song
-3 Stars for AAA
-2 Stars for AA
-1 Star for A-D
-1 Star for Full Combo
-1 Star for Life4/Risky, regardless if you pass or fail

Honestly if you know you are going to at least full combo a song or get less than 4 misses, Life4 is well worth enabling until you are up to Level 2. At that point, you could probably do without it if you can AA consistently without worrying about a full combo.

I do think there is something more to it too. I unlocked a few songs by failing them. One I failed near the end (was about ten seconds left of the song) and I unlocked it. The other I failed very early on (ドーパミン as a reference, lost at the 400 BPM part) and I also unlocked it. The first song I was level 2 and the second was level 3. Wonder if level 3 is just instant unlock at that point. I could try when I play again unless someone else wants to try it out.

Set up a Japanese KONAMI ID and, assuming you reside in the US, buy BitCash, redeem for PASELI, and subscribe to a basic course.

Japan only in the context of, only Japanese region KONAMI ID's can do it; I have it and I live in the US.
