[AC] StepManiaX produced by Kyle Ward

From what I've heard, this will NOT be an arcade release btw. This backs up the lack of coin/free play display.

I'm still concerned about everything that isn't Wild. So far, everyone that I know that has played or seen it has discussed only Wild, yet the one song shown earlier in the thread on Hard is dull and boring.

It's following ITG's suit, where nothing matters under the hardest charts other than to be filler. I've spent the last few days playing nothing but lower-end ITG charts to see if I can remember anything about them and realized that not only did I never play them, they are just atrocious. That one Hard chart is exactly the same quality as ITG's Hard charts: bad.

It gets even worse with doubles in ITG, so hopefully whomever creates doubles charts for StepManiaX is actually competent enough to make worthwhile charts rather than filler. But for now I am definitely not going to be interested in playing this if the only thing worth playing is Wild.

Actually, I should take personal feelings out of this, just because someone has wronged me doesn't mean that its ok.

Its unfortunate this has happened, and I have heard good things about her pad, even from somebody else that has also fallen out with her, I may even purchase a pad in future from her if things go well, nobody deserves to be treated like that.

Also, don't be embarrassed because you're enthusiastic / like a game ;) I'm sure a lot of people here have done that.

Tbh I've been following this, watched the videos and although it's clearly a beta it looks pretty trashy to me. I don't know what it is, ReRave felt it too, StepEvolution stuff just has a very 'budget' vibe to it. I can see that middle panel causing so many issues of misfiring and all sorts too, that gameplay video a few pages back displayed a chart that wasn't even that difficult compared to what I presume the real high-end charts would be and I could see it firing off quite a lot.

Then the Brittany stuff came out and bleh. The name, the music, the set-up both touch screen AND pads, the gimmick, none of it is doing anything for me sadly. 7th Element tho, that's pretty sweet.

We've had these pads in the works for over two years at this point. It's a case of two separate parties enthusiastic about a particular genre coming to the same conclusion.

None of us have ever seen what the inside of her pads are, let alone even played on them.

RE Charts: There are harder things coming. We have no issues of the center panel misfiring, people are just stepping on it and it's not affecting the game at all. I would suggest giving it a shot hopefully when you can to see.

We're a team of effectively ~5 people, so there isn't much we can do about the feel.. What exactly puts you off on the UI? I'm the lead for that and would love to hear any feedback.

Also, considering that Kyle has allegedly blocked her on Facebook, if that's true, then from there I find it very difficult to believe that he didn't know about them.

Kyle has made fun of her pad design before, though? That would clearly show that he's at least seen and knows what Impulse pads are.
