Ok so I have a buddy that works at the Dave and busters [Houston]
This is what he told me.

We had good numbers on our pump it up machine apparently and a lot of avid players, which made us one of the selected stores to have one.

I really have to thank the pump players here for this haha
The press release said the one in actual Ontario is one of the new locations getting the machine when they open.

I'm really happy with the responses I've been getting from the D&B's in the LA area since at least they are aware of the new release.

California, more specific the Irvine location will be a huge hub for DDR A with their D&B game play history. They are predicted to be set up first.

"Just Play Along"
I'm personally hoping for around 20 licenses, give or take. Is that asking for too much? The Hottest Party usually had that amount . There's already as many licensed songs as in 1stMIX, but having as many as 2ndMIX LINK would be nice, and would give casual players some more variety in content aimed at them, so that they can practice and get better in order to eventually play KONAMI Original songs that are more challenging.

I like how the licenses announced so far are pretty EDM oriented, but I want them to tap into some more genres and even music from older decades. A few classic 80's and 90's pop and rock wouldn't hurt, and perhaps some Hip-Hop too, of which there are certainly a lot of modern tracks to choose from that might have the potential for some interesting step charts. Some eurodance and eurobeat would be great too, much like in X2.

Also, why not add Night of Fire? It was in Disney's Rave, Dance Evolution and Beatmania, so why not bring it back and have it be the most challenging licensed chart, much like Night of Knights in Japan? It would definitely be an effective apology for removing Mickey Mouse March (Eurobeat Version)!

Actually, do we know if the 8 announced are the only licenses? I suppose redshoepaul might know that much at least.

I'm looking forward to dance to Avicii, Pitbull and Zedd! Personally I do like EDM except Deep House Cool

So, from what I've been reading, there hasn't been any D&Bs that has a machine fully set up/ready to play yet? I would've thought at least one of the SoCal D&Bs would have it ready to go by today.

I'm not complaining, obviously, and I'm hoping it becomes a huge thing since they have a lot more locations than R1 does at the moment, and therefore a bigger reach of potential users/superfans. And, of course, the big picture now that we have official eAmuse servers in the works: Could we possibly have a location test for Sound Voltex, or IIDX, or even Museca (HA!)? It's now more possible because of it, and I think it will all be determined on how successful this game does.

I also remember an old thread back when anyone could now make an eAmuse account (this one: https://zenius-i-vanisher.com/v5.2/thread?threadid=7392&page=1 ), and saying at the time that Konami wouldn't just do this without something big they were planning later down the road. People were saying stuff like,

Quote: Pandemonium X
I'll believe it when I see it. First we get MAX. Period in arcades now we're getting legit e-amuse in the states? Hell is in for some very cold weather for March. What's next? A new DDR for the US!? Tongue

And of course, this guy:

I'm pretty sure the latter is eating his words now. ;)

I am fairly sure Anthony had a good feeling e-amuse would arrive to the US, the post was just made at the time when people were posting about the e-amuse site including North America as simply a 'country' to add within the Japanese e-amuse page.

But that's beside the point, so far we have Disney TsumTsum and now DDR Ace fully supported with American e-amuse. Let's hope this release gives more opportunity for more BEMANI games to be brought over to the US + chances for 'mom & pop' arcade establishments to get the service + machines.

That indeed would be a dream come true.

Unfortunately, the location getting it was Ontario, California, NOT Ontario, Canada.

That killed the hype pretty badly for me, as a Canadian - I'm apparently completely out of luck.
Well, where in Ontario, Canada do you live? If you're anywhere near Oakville, we might just be able to catch a new D&B store opening soon-ish.

Now that Konami is putting some serious effort into appealing to the American audience, what is the likelihood that DDR A cabs would replace old pre-X2 cabs in movie theatres in the foreseeable future? Despite living in a big CA city, the nearest D&B to me is 40 miles away.

Too soon to tell. The machines need to be up and running and being played first before anything is even considered. Right now it's just DDR A in D&B and Round1. If those do well, there may be more things happening.

It would be a godsent if Namco could be the next company to deal with KONAMI to get DDR Ace to Time-Out arcades. There's Time-Out arcades everywhere here in Puerto Rico, so I would be so happy if we got one here! Seems like a dream, though.

Boy if only you knew who this guy was Roll Eyes Tokyo Attack/Bemani Invasion creator aka he is responsible for bringing a slew of BEMANI games to the US when KONAMI would not even consider looking directly into the face of the Western Hemisphere.
Once again, thread is slowly being derailed. I am interested as to the 'events/tournaments' D&B is planning for DDR Ace, are they sponsored officially by Konami? Is this a teaser for a potential KAC for the US? Or will this be like the failed (yet surprisingly hilarious) Konami US DDR Championships?
