I've been watching the stream for a bit.

Wow AA -rebuild- is a massive letdown.

Initial impressions after scrolling through pieces of that stream:

- Dig the color scheme and menu bgm. No complaints on overall aesthetics so far.
- It does kind of feel like dj TAKA's Amuro balked on X and hasn't gotten it back since. I hope he can innovate some better stuff like before. (Did someone say Risk Junk!?)
- Maozon is getting consistently better, that's good.
- I hope they keep letting Dirty Androids just do their thing, they're always great tunes even when they're easier.
- I'm already over this BEMANI Sound Team nonsense. It would be ridiculous if I had to go who knows how long without knowing who did something like SPEED (96? Akhuta? Who knows??), and then find out that it was actually Mutsuhiko Izumi, who rarely gets a go out of anything other than Gitadora. This is a big deal to me though! I want to support guys like him!
- Meanwhile, I'm really glad OSTER Project brought Yu Tokiwa back--she's always been one of my favorite vocalists, and they're a good match. Like the good ol' Tangeline days.
- Boy, when DJ Mass MAD Izm* is given an assignment, he really sticks to the theme, huh? At least they let him keep his scratch-'til-you-die style. Also, slightly amused at the simplest title ever, compared to his usual bit.
- Hrrmm, I dunno, I don't think I like Chemical Cookie that much. Believe me, I want to, but the whole package just comes across as kind of meh faux-hype to me as of now. I'll give it time.

UPDATE: If anyone wants some quick previews of some good CANNON BALLERS fare, these were recently uploaded.

Soooo, this basically confirms that Akhuta is Project B-, right? That's about as clear a match as I know of now.

Isn't that Kanade from SDVX? Along with the character from Bassdrop freaks, who's apparently named Shizuku.

All the new songs I've listened to are really good; I'm most excited for that Akira Complex collab with Hommarju. Love the UI and theme and all that. The announcer is kind of a turnoff, but he brings a certain charm to the way he yells your grade at the results screen, so I'm fine with it.
Now to patiently wait for the soundtrack to drop in March...

The mix is quite good (not at much as the initial release of SINOBUZ), with nice aesthetics and features, but idk ... the songs are not hyping me too much.

Yes, some songs are really awesome (like Battleground, エディブルフラワーの独白 or 草原の王女 -奇跡を辿って-) but others are really meh.

I'll listen more this mix if some tune catch me, but for now im not diggin too much.

FUTURE is DEAD is by far the best song.

I've not heard all the songs but so far,

Top 3: Static State, Exhaust Hype, and Midnight Lady are my choices for best song.

Bottom 3: Acidiva 303, Amor De Verão, and the Chemical Cookie.

THE CANNONBALLER. Not bad for L.E.D.'s first Eurobeat song.

Best 3:
1. Static State ~ Really good song. On the off chance that I ever get to play this style, I definitely want to play it.
2. O/D*20 ~ Cool shoutout to oldschool beatmania and also good.
3. Chemical Cookie ~ ...I'm going to end up being the only person who likes this song, aren't I?

Worst 3:
3. Acidiva 303 ~ Parts of it are a little neat but overall it's not that good.
2. AA -rebuild- ~ Neat drums but that's about it. Everything else is done worse than the original AA.
1. Mira ~ What a weird song. It could probably be at least decent with literally any other instrument choice.

Pretty much everything else I've heard so far is at least decent, most being pretty good.

Yoooo, I haven't heard any of the new songs yet since I don't really want to watch a whole live stream and I'm kinda waiting for someone to just upload individual videos of every song like what was done for past mixes :')
But I'm still excited nonetheless!!!

Also, with the Bassdrop Freaks girl's name being officially confirmed as "Shizuku" now, looks like we have two BEMANI Shizuku's...One is a super-sad Pop'n song while the other is, well, BEISUDOROPPU.
(Though I could have sworn that at some point her name was "Bassdrop-chan"...)

Kinda surprised SPEEDY CAT, Route 80's, Freeway Shuffle and Miami Sunset Drive didn't get Leggendaria charts since these would fit the theme quite well.

I’m definitely liking this mix so far. I really appreciate how Ryu* made a remix of OVERDOSER and its Driving Dub Remix from beatmania 2ndMIX. I’m hoping some of the future unlocks are also remixes from the original beatmania. And this whole “BEMANI Sound Team” thing really is stupid, considering that the artists’ name is put there on display, anyway.

It’s nice to see sampling masters MEGA & Aya back in IIDX, but I feel like it would’ve been better if one of their songs from their Over Drive Hell series were able to be used here. Encounters with Stupid from Over Drive Hell 8 would’ve been great here.

I feel like they're using it to identify some of the more obscure names as in-house, as some of the more obvious ones (Sota, Amuro, Totto) are not tagged as Bemani Sound Team. Unless all three of those left Konami for some reason and became commission artists (but I really doubt that).

(EDIT)Oh bloody hell. HuΣeR is tagged as Bemani Sound Team in one song and not in another?

The songs that are not credited as "Bemani Sound Team" appeared before the whole shitstorm with Konami in the location test, so i supposed they keep it to maintain this.

Right now i've been listening almos all the setlist in CB, and my fist impression is now much better (but i still prefered the SINOBUZ default list). O/D*20 and Best of me are my favorites atm.

I was gonna write a whole list about my best and worst songs that I've heard, but I'll just leave it at 3 of each

Highlights:
1. O/D*20 (easily the best song in Cannon Ballers so far, but Midnight Lady is a close 2nd!)
2. Midnight Lady
3. ラストセンチュリーメランコリック, AKA Last Century Melancholic (Something about that song really pushes my buttons in a good way. The compressed vocals in the beginning are supreme.)

Honorable Mentions: Battleground, Nothing But Theory, Best of Me

Lowlights:
1. Mira (Maybe one of the instruments on the artist's VSTs stopped working, but couldn't fix it in time before Konami came knocking? Either way, it's pretty bad. XD)
2. AA -rebuild- (I can't tell if this song was as lazy as Konzert V, where they just slapped a drum n bass sample onto the melody and called it a day, or if there was a tiny bit more effort because of that tiny bit of new stuff in the very beginning. Still, this song is a waste of space.)
3. Tie between Chemical Cookie and Amor De Verao (The vocals. Enough said.)
