oopsie, should have made it clearer. It shows the gold stars but it doesn't show that it gives you more than gold starring it.

5 stars - 5 stars
6 stars - gold starring it once
7 stars - it'll show the gold stars from the 6 star mark but it'll give you another jingle.

so well, guitar hero arcade seems to be a rip off of Guitar Hero 3 with like 40 songs + one exclusive (terrible chart on expert - at least from my point of view). one credit one song usually, longer songs (knights of cydonia etc.) need two credits if you want to play them (and then imagine that you fail the song in the middle).

the guitar controllers are pretty heavy, pick seemed fine. the buttons were not that nice. it was lagging slightly (but it was the best GH setup I played on so far o_O).

many people seemed to like it and were interested in it... I asked KONAMI about Guitar Freaks and well they said "we have guitar hero, why care about GF". ok right GH will probably sell unlike GF but still...it was quite bizarre to hear something like that.

WOAH WHAT!?!?!?

...damn...they must have lost hope on GF if they had the balls to say that.

Aside from that, did you ask for when it will be released to the public?

They said it will be available in summer. but I heard some people speaking about GHAC being ready in spring so I don´t know where they got that. I also have to say that I was asking different people at KONAMI stand and some where uncertain about stuff and some gave me answers I never expected (ad GF...). For example person A not telling us the prices of the cabinets and person be telling us what the prices could be like.

Hmmm so some say by Spring, other by Summer...oh well, from what i have heard, they say it was in the first weeks of February they would start releasing the AC + a website would be up and running by that time...

Guess were going to have to wait and see.

As for the DLC, i just believe it to be just songs (they could possibly range from older versions "revived", songs from DLC on both GH3 and GH:WT, songs that didn't make the CS cut but instead is DL to the machine, and maybe even newer songs from future mixes). Unless they want to give you the option of customizing your character (which i don't think is possible because this is played on a GH3 Interface), then that's the only reason for them to have DLC on the machine.

yeah...I wanted to note one thing...at the beginning of the game you get to that screen where you choose your character and you can change his or her look. I just did not get WHY this is on arcade machine (add question marks here). I don´t remember how much time you have for it, but why bother dressing up your character or changing his or her guitar on AC (questionmark). if the game stays as it is now...it means you get this character for ONE song! if online play and internet ranking would be there and you could use some kind of profile (thus with already customized char for example) it could be of use. but otherwise.... questionmark...

this will probably get KONAMI a lot of money anyway. but I think they should review the arcade game once again...

Here's a thought:

Let's say that somehow KONAMI makes some sort of "card" (like e-amuse) and with this card you can do basically most of the things you could do with a DDR e-amuse card (save records, unlock stuff for characters, unlock songs, etc.) Now then, with this "card", you can ALSO save a character (male or female), dress them up however way you like it, and that will be YOUR character throughout the game...

This WOULD be nice to see (GH:WT already has it, but i just don't see it happening if it is using GH3) and on top of that, DLC could not just bring new songs, but maybe even accessories/clothing for your character as well. It could also be great for multiplayer and the such...

...also quick question, does it follow the KONAMI Extra Stage style? Like, beat two songs, the final stage song will give you the option of going to the ES if you get up to a certain amount of points (or "stars")? If so, i can already tell TTFAF is a BOSS song in the game =P...(and maybe even Six or Jordan).

stsung hit the mark for the amount of songs, however it says that there are 50 songs to choose....so i am probably guessing it has to deal with hidden tracks within the game i guess =/

I was thinking about hidden tracks as well. I was surprised that I did not even see TTFAF on the songlist. I could imagine this song to be on Extra Stage though. Getting 99% on expert did not get us anything new the game just ended and you had to press start once again. (it was on free play so ES if there is any would probably be available as it is the case with DDR machines)
but something like jubeat unlock system might be in place...

maxninja: yeah, that's something I think KONAMI could do with GH (starting something like e-amuse on that game). Starting a server and holding online tournaments as well. on the AC version I can imagine some competitive play. just as it seems not all arcades can have the same the same songlist....well tourneys will probably just force arcade owners to download all the songs etc.

...Say this was possible, would you be able to use this "card" for other games as well? (THAT would seriously kick ass if they had that feature ).

Oh Free Play huh? Yea i understand, with Free Play on, you can't really get ES or w/e it might be on this machine...
