Dumb question, since Konami Computer Entertainment Hawaii Inc., the makers of the Ultramix Series, and some frogger games no one knows about, was shut down in August 2006 (which was almost 13 years ago...fuck me.), when was the last time a song from the Ultramix series been crossed to the arcades? If I remember Starmine from UM2 was crossed to DDR 2014 but not with the same charts...

X2 if you count the universe series as part of the ULTRAMIX series, or really a successor

I'd argue like 99% of the songs in Ultramix that Konmai still holds rights over (I know that every Or-If-Is song that isn't EyeSpy or The Hop and the majority of Jondi & Spesh songs legally belong to Konmai) ought to be moved to arcade and given challenge charts but we all know that will never happen because Konmai

Just wanted to say that if you're talking about what I think you are, I've heard from people who have access to "that place" that what you saw is legit. And TBH if it is legit, them not releasing that would be incredibly fucking stupid compared to releasing EVERY OTHER 19Post #1444 · Posted at 2019-07-15 02:48:14pm 5.8 years ago

I love how A20 is mostly focused on new content instead of crossovers or revivals, but at the same time, there are so many Xbox series songs I would like to see crossed over into an AC mix, mostly because I didn't play most of the Ultramix games. It seems like it would take very little effort for them to do that, too, unless they insist on making new charts for everything.

Reviving some Xbox KONAMI originals/crossovers would be awesome, but new charts would be a necessity. Most of the Xbox charts until UNIVERSE are hot garbage IMO -- especially ULTRAMIX 1&2 and the respective DLCs.
But I do not think it would ever happen. It has been more than 10 years since UNIVERSE3.

For the record on MAX 360, New Century was released in March 30th, 2016, and its challenge chart was released April 27th of 2017, or about a year and a month. It really wouldn't surprise me if there's a similar (or worse) time discrepancy between the Expert and Challenge releases.
In addition to that, DDR A20, as of right now, has no challenge charts at all, so it's unlikely they'd start by having the first set of challenge charts be for songs released in the previous game.
Between these two factors, I'm going to call the release of these charts being a 2020 release.

Am I the only one who wants vertical added in A20
Why does Ryu hate that song so much
Also I agree with the customization thing, IIDX has had it for years so I can't see why DDR can't (they could even grab the assets form the DDR Selection stuff, except without the background videos and stuff)

Wow, this thread is making me remember tons of great songs. I always wondered why Konami is so hesitant to utilize CS DDR songs, besides a few exceptions. IIDX gets revivals all the time

Yeah, the charts between the two are completely different.

Don't forget the IIDX song Starmine that also first appeared in DDR Ultramix 2 but when it came to DDR (2014) the charts were completely replaced.

No way! Fun fact, that song was the first DLC I ever bought, for any game.

DDR always crossed over their CS songs. Its just that 2014 was the last game to have that tradition.
The remaining songs are mostly obscure and are unlikely to be crossed over. This is also given that CS games for DDR in Japan stopped around 2010, excluding mobile releases while IIDX has INFINITAS currently.

DDR used to bring so many revivals when the Hottest Party series was a thing, but now since NAOKI left, they didn't care for those anymore. And let's be real, i would like to see more CS crossovers from the Ultramix/Universe series but i think for japanese players are not attractive at all, because they didn't knew those series beside a few players.
Yeah, there's still Settin' the scene ready to be crossed over but idk ... i would prefer something like the Insaner series (OG Insaner and the L.E.D. mix) (as a side note, we need more Jondi & Spesh in DDR!!!), Vertical, the Celebrate Nite mix by DM Ashura, Doki Doki Panik mix and Desire Comet Remix

but let's keep in mind that most of the Universe 3 crossovers consisted of songs done by well-known IIDX artists, and even DM Ashura appeared in EMPRESS prior to X2, and the Xbox series is a obscurity in Japan too, the crossovers to arcade being BEMANI regulars (& Big Idea but their members would continue to provide songs for the Wii/PS2/Arcade games as well) and only select songs from comissoned artists
