Yep, the length of the freezes in 16th notes matches what the vocalist is saying!
When she says 10, the freeze is 10 16th notes long, then 9, and so on. Then zero is an arrow without a freeze.

That might be because Footwork also originated in the 90s and its sound and irregular rhythms have remained consistent all this time. It’s kind of surprising how Footwork-based tracks didn’t appear back in the 5KEY games, as well as DDR throughout the years.

Literally their only in-house female artist (as far as we know) is MarL, and she hasn't done anything vaguely rap-ish in BEMANI yet.
